Luke, you are the OG of retro gaming here on RUclips. I have been watching your videos since 2008 and you have encouraged me and others while still continuing to inspire people to get into retro gaming. You are awesome and still the best retro gaming channel. 🎮👍
@WildWeasel82 you are really too kind. I have always enjoyed sharing games, wiring, how to play, etc videos with others who are interested. I am honestly so glad to still have people like yourself who continue to support these off the cuff, low budget videos. I honestly appreciate everything and hope that I can continue to do so. Thanks again
The issue right now is that no company has a IR sensor bar for accurate shooting, it's all exclusively gyro aim if you play it on a console. I really wish that the Area 51 games would have been released on the Wii, that would have been a worthy collection to own. It makes me want to get one of those lightguns for pc, just to emulate the arcade to some extent.
I cannot wait to play "Time Crisis" in Virtual Reality. You just reminded me that I need to set this up. It will be time consuming, but extremely fun once finished.
Definitely! I would love to see that for sure. Yeah, get this set up if you have the chance, you wont regret it. A great game and it definitely has the length playing in its favor. Not short by any means
Awesome that you have the original arcade version of this game set up. It's in my top 3 in the series for sure. Would like to get the hardware for more games, just in terms of the IR sensors I'm not sure how reliable they are, and if they are repairable. Cheers!
A lot of the IR stuff is interchangeable but the wiring for it all can take some time. It took me a couple of days at least to get TC3 and TC4 wired up but well worth it in the end. The repairs on the other hand will really depend on how hard they are being run and how much airflow they are getting. Thanks for watching!
Never played this one, unfortunately. It looks super fun! Another arcade shooter series I loved was Silent Scope, but I doubt anyone could run that at home without the sniper rifle.
Don't think I've ever come across this one in person. The gun selection mechanic seems interesting. Back in the day I put a lot of time in TC 1,2 and Crisis Zone. I think CZ was my favorite out of the 3 titles from the series that I've had the chance to play in an arcade, the SMG controller was pretty cool.
OH Nice!! Now that you mention it, I dont think I ever put up a video on CZ (I have that one here as well) so that may be a future video. Really cool to hear about TZ1 and 2 though, excellent games there.
Haha! you have quite the nice selection of hardware too there! Namco really did well with these games eh? Hope things are good on your end and thanks as always
my favorite part of the arcade release of this game is the graphical difference from the ps2 based hardware versus the ps3 port, very visible at 13:03 when rush runs out into a white void, always a very odd detail to see and notice >.>
Definitely! graphic upgrades and the music really draws you in. I love the way this is was made for sure. A lot of attention to detail spent on this one.
Its not too much of a far fetched idea if you know what you are getting. Its easy to get into but the space fills up quickly lol. Thanks a million Marty and good luck on your quest!
Here's a tip to get millions points easily in Time Crisis 4: - Shooting enemies two to three times using handgun will give you more points - At the Prologue stage, use only the Hand Gun until you reached the falling helicopter. Shooting the helicopter using the Machine Gun before it falls may give you a little points. - In Stage 1/Area 1, during the Mosquito terrorbites part, do not quickly use the Shotgun, use the Grenade in that part. (This is the same part from Stage 2/Area 2, but if you're Grenade doesn't have amo then you don't have a choice to use the Shotgun 😅) - In Stage 1-1, during the High-Tech Armor enemies part, do not switch to shotgun if it's near you, the Machine Gun will give you a lot of points if you use it to defeat them. - During the first chopper chase, shoot down the truck when there are no enemies attacking you. Shooting the truck can also give you points - The limited weapons are somehow the easiest way to defeat every boss (except Jack Matters). I highly recommend you to use the Machine Gun and Shotgun (for Jack Matters). If their final health bar is half empty, use the Grenade (i always do that in TC3 so yep, that's how you call an explosion move) - During the Wild Dog boss fight, do not be frustrated from the wall traps section. Start from the left side and shot the walls using the Machine Gun or Shotgun (don't use Hand Gun and Grenade), but always check your barrier health bar. That's all i can share

We need all TC games remade in VR. Would be a hit!

Namco lightgun shooters are some of my favourite. I got this on PS3, but use the move. Cool share as always fella 😎👍

This is running on Namco System Super 256 which is custom PS2-based hardware co-developed by Sony and Namco.
Yes indeed. There have been some patches made out there to have this run on regular 256 systems but this hardware is unique for sure.

Yoooooooooo!!!!
Spent a tonne of time on this fixing power issues.... but weird seeing the JPN version
@lukemorse1, are you able to or do you know anyone who can reflash a flash card for a punch-mania 2?
Great content! Is this game stored on the hard drive or loaded from ROM?
