Great content !! Usually the first thing to learn before you do big wheelies is the rear breaking when you go up. It’s gonna help you a lot with the fear of looping the bike ✌🏽
Do your wheelies in TC1. It will not let you go all the way back but will let the front wheel come up far enough to ride out some sick wheelies. You have to build confidence and be comfortable with your bike. Don’t be scared but you have to respect the machine and know it can hurt you. I usually start my wheelies in 3rd and shift up to 4th. I rode a wheelie out to 140 mph in 5th gear at 11,500 rpm before setting it down. I left a long rubber mark from the front tire about 15 feet long. It was a blast. I know it was over a mile long wheelie.
This is not true and dangerous information to give to beginners. None of the TC modes on the mt10 prevent looping. You can 100 percent f your day and bike over in TC 1 and 2
Half the fun is just learning. great bike.I just bought one.enjoy it. And rear brake control is key. Just doing small ones and intentionally coming back down with rear brake over and over again gives you that muscle memory and confidence to go bigger.
@@606curvekillas7 it may look like it, I still don’t have them figured out, scares me every time that front wheels come off the ground. All i can think about is dropping my $10,000 baby.
@@1Brand2Wheels I would say so and that would suck for real I’m going to wait till I get really fimiler with the z1000 before I even try my throttle is so touchy it will prolly take me Awhile to grow some balls lol 😂
@@1Brand2Wheels Same, but try TC on mode 2 it might save you if you go back to far, as soon as it pops up in 2nd back of the throttle about half way then gradually bring on more throttle again, get that right to start out with before going into 3rd. If TC2 is holding you back go to TC1
Hey bro I like this video. I have a 2018 MT10. I don’t like clutching it up either. I crack it in second like you but use second gear to keep it up by covering the rear brake and playing with the throttle for a little longer before hitting 3rd. 👍👍💪💪
Awesome man. This is inspiring. Own mt10 but never really got confident in clutch up. Will definetly try this. Is this in mph or kmh?also hows your wheelie now?
Bro I love this stuff! Do yourself a favor. Get in 3rd and learn how to slip that clutch. Way more predictable and easier on the bike. Plus once you get the hang of it 3rd will carry a nooner for days especially if you snatch 4th. You can clutch up in 4th too but you have to get more in to the power band an really whack that throttle. Get this method down and you will never power wheelie again!
Try clutch ups bro. U got enough throttle control. I was doing exactly what you were. Power wheelies only. We have same exact bike. Put it in tc1 if ur nervous. It will bring it down if u come up too fast.. and clutch up. You'll progress way faster
Why must you feel the need to shift, focus first on getting bike up high enough to balance point, leave it in 2nd, and do slow wheelies, control bike 1st as a priority, good luck brother.....
GREAT VIDEO. You definitely have the personality to watch for a while. Good job! I have the Mt 09 and I can wheelie pretty high now for like a quarter mile. Let me know if you ever need any advice.
@@1Brand2Wheels It took me somewhere between 8,000-10,000 attempts at wheelies to get it way up and ride for a while. What helped me so much is I would get really good at lifting the wheel 6 inches 200+ times than after thats mastered aim to get it up a foot, practice until you're hella comfortable with that. Keep working your way higher after finding comfort at all lower heights.

JustDoItWith Chase yea I am working up to it, dont practice as often as i should. That sounds awesome, had few tell me up in 3rd is best.
Yea, 3rd is more controllable. You will be there in no time.
Really? So I can pull the full throttle on TC1 and the electronics will prevent from falling on my back?

You’re simply just good at wheelies
Where are you bro? its been 2 years.

I've been sweating the mileage after the E starts flashing and Trip F starts counting up. Thanks for the excellent bit of info.
I was doing the same thing, wish i could have actually posted that video of running out of gas.
Dude you killing it brother
Hey thank you!!
@@1Brand2Wheels I hope I catch on that easy with out killing my self

Start at about 5K in second gear and try and control the wheelie in second for a few more seconds than pop into 3rd
Thats the problem I have been having is controlling the throttle once I get it up. I use mode 1 with traction control off. What do you use?

Aight thanks for the advice will give it go.
Muy buen video gracias y lo que explica de la gasolina muy buena porque estaba buscando eso gracias 🙏
Awesome effort fella ! Feel your pain im 2days into owning my MT10 & seriously need to improve my wheelies ! Thanks for the tips ! What are you in ???
V nice... I m also trying to learn 😊

I haven’t practiced in a while, but everybody tells me to clutch up, apparently it is the best way. Gotta get back into the wheelies!!!
Good video.
sup bro i finally got my 2021 mt10!!!! what mode are you riding in to practice wheelies?
Keep up with the great content
Thank you
these are pretty cool videos.👍🏼
Thanks
your bike doesn't have decel pop it looked like you had a cat delete. whar did you do for the decel pop ?
Block off plates probably
just a tune will disable ais and popping
Is your speedometer in km/h or mp/h?
It is mph.

Nice one bro 👊🏽👊🏽🔥🔥🔥
Hey thank you!!
Nice video!
Thanks for watching!!
Baby steps!
Slowly and steady progress! I bet that loft control really helps.
Yeah if you'll start a little bit slower you can ride in second for a little bit then shift up to third
Will give it a try, thanks, its just super twitchy that high in the rpm’s in second.

Thanks for the advice, My biggest issues is throttle control, I feel the bike lean back a bit and I completely release the throttle.

Zachary Jones thank you, doing wheelies for longer than 3 seconds have been killing me, always willing to hear some advice.

Try to learn clutch ups. Much easier to control but you need to get comfortable with leaning back
Yup being comfortable is the hard part, lol.
the manual of the vehicle will tell you the range left after hitting E
I wish i lived close to you bro so we could ride together
Yea that would be awesome, maybe one day.
lean back when you wheelie
👍🏍💨
We gotta meet up for a ride sometime.
We all meet up to go to Columbia you Saturday big meet up
