Thank you interviewer. You asked the right questions and loved the way u handled it. Most RUclipsrs keep repeating the answers, which is irritating. You did amazing.
A wonderful review with the pros and cons. The cons that can be rectified, rattling of the rear door and the bashplate. I should say that the owner has kept the vehicle in trim condition, alloys and tyres make the look of the gurkha awesome. The way he drives and shifting the gears shows his passion for driving 👌👌👌👍🏻👍🏻. After Service was the problem buying gurkha, as mentioned if there's an increase in the service points and availability of spares then, most prefer gurkha as their preferred one for regular commuting, offroading, and family trips.
Thank you for your kind words! 🙏🙂. The underbody bash plate fix hss already been found and will be implemented soon. It will result in a significant improvement in ground clearance. The rear door rattle has also been taken up by the company and a fix will be inplace soon. I haven't had the chance to visit the workshop yet.
So far, the best ownership review. Congratulations 91Wheels! Delighted to see that this time the owner actually understands his car and gives comprehensive responses.
Gurkha has become a nightmare for some customers.. Please reach out to them as well.. Want to listen to their side of story too. BTW good to hear some good about gurkha..
Fantastic Review. This for sure has got me back on the Gurkha trail. I loved every moment of the review. I could visualise my dream at my door step. Appreciate the honest feedback from the Owner. God bless. Kudos to Force Gurkha. 👍👍😊
Although Gurkha has no market resale but this is the only vehicle in India which have company fitted diff. locks on front and rear. The new Gurkha looks better than previous but from some angles it look like Tata Sumo. Gurkha Extreme (2.2 LTR) had much refined and powerful engine which we are really going to miss in this new Gurkha. Really nice video and liked it👍.
There aren't very many Gurkhas on sale in the 2nd hand market. As its popularity has gone up now and also the number of Gurkhas on the road, in time more Gurkhas will because available in the 2nd hand market and should fetch a decent price as demand has steadily grown as the Gurkha gains acceptance and popularity
I did my test drive of this car and fell in love with its phenomenal road presence. Yes, there are some shortcomings, like no front towing mechanism (I asked the sales guy and he agreed that it’s a miss): correct me if I am wrong. Secondly, if luggage is kept inside the cabin then it’s difficult for rear passengers to get out without either it being removed or an ample way be made by shifting of luggage. Whether I buy it or not, that’s a separate aspect; but honestly it’s an awesome SUV.
Yes. Thats missing. There is a towing hook that can be screwed in and used for basic towing. But proper chassis mounted recovery points are missing in the front. There is a proper recovery and towing pintle hook at the back ofcourse. On your second point the rear entry is far more practical and comfortable for egress and ingress than entry from by sliding the front passenger seat. It does cause some inconvenience when a rear passenger has to get off and there is luggage. But if one places soft duffel bags at the exit area then they are easy to remove and put back rather than a big heavy suitcase. The high roof makes it quite comfortable to bend and walk in and out.
@@kedarfulambrikar6607 ive driven it on a 500 kms highway trip and it performed very well. It cruises easily at 90 100 kmph and the high seating position gives an amazing view of the road as well. The fuel average was 9.8 kmpl then.

Sirji along with front bash plate the shape of front lower arms needs re engineering badly bcz a pro level off roader wd touch it anywhere while out there in rough nature like river beds.
A few queries: 1. How can one fix the problem of the clattering of the rear door without changing the location of the tyre. 2. If the carrier is approved by ARAI - will a roof tent also be treated a an approved accessory (logic being that the height would be the same). 3. Does additional cladding reduce the engine noise?

Sorry i forgot to mention it. There was gear oil dripping from the place where gearbox is attached to engine. The seal inside was changed and the problem has not resurfaced after this. This was in other vehicles too and the company fixed it if found to be leaking. One would hope that these things do not occur in new vehicles but the good thing is the company taking quick action to solve the issue.
@@IndianOverlander It's good to know that the company is taking proactive measures to fix problems in an effort to push the Gurkha. Solid front axles are good offroad but extremely uncomfortable on road. You’ll even see more ground clearance on an IFS 4x4 than on a comparable solid-axle 4x4.
