What do you think of that pov?
hello mr salles i got a 4 in english literature and was wondering how to get a 7? i am also not sure how i should start my revision or how to plan a pre made essay and what quotes to use.
I'm not mr salles but as a grade 8/9 literature student, this is my best advice: -have a bank of quotes with good analysis like this video, so you are always prepared if a random question comes. -revise context! Remember that all characters are carefully crafted constructs. -I like to make my notes based on critics theories (which you can find online) and they usually have some great theories which you can use. -and of course WATCH MR SALLES VIDEOS. they are literally the best. Sorry if this is long winded but I hope that this helped:)
its basically about how its relating to how someone can be changed to a different religion like scrooge changes to a happier personality, so you can relate it to scrooges change or Christianity. i know its been about a year so this isn't going to help if you have already done it , but if you have i hope it went okay.
Hi Mr. Salles. Could you please do a video like this for Animal Farm? . I have been trying to find videos like these for Animal Farm, but no youtuber is doing them.I am panicking, please help.
I'm aiming for a 7 in English Literature, I'm currently getting low 6's with no revision, does anyone have any good advice for what I can do now I have finished all my flashcards? I'm trying to learn how to write essay's more effectively to push me just high enough to that 7, I would be extremely happy with a 7! (Yes, I am aware I have left it very late since I only started real revision at the middle of last month)
Keep going with the flashcards, watch Mr Salles’ videos and write practice essays. There’s loads of booklets different schools have made with practice questions in so write some essays for those using his tips and get your english teacher to mark a couple. Was getting 6s at beginning of the year now my teacher says I’m on track for 8
Because there isn't much time left, you could just go through practice questions and plan the answers with points and quotations you would use. Also blurting is good where you just write everything you want to know about a topic/character (I find this from Mr Salles videos) and then keep copying them out on paper or on a white board if you have one until you have memorised it.

Hi Mr salles can you please mark this story I wrote on boy who discover eternal happiness from sadness Under the ancient oak tree, a boy sat, knees drawn up to his chest, his face buried in the crook of his elbow. He was a mere whisper of a boy, a fleeting shadow, as he lingered in the gloom, a participant in his own melancholy. The branches above seemed to weep with him, their leaves shivering in the breeze, casting a dappled tapestry of sadness upon the dew-laden grass. His name was Ewan. Time, that relentless beast, gnawed at the edges of his consciousness, yet he remained captive in his cage of sorrow. Each tear that fell to the earth below was a siren call to memories that haunted the corners of his mind - memories of laughter, of friendship, the warmth of a loving embrace. The memories were like ghosts, whispering in the wind, slipping through his fingers as he tried to hold on. Suddenly, a shaft of sunlight pierced the gloom, illuminating the forest floor, and Ewan looked up. The world seemed to pause, its breath held in anticipation, as the light danced in the leaves above. It was as if a celestial hand had reached down, offering solace, beckoning him to step out of the shadows. Hesitantly, Ewan rose from his perch, a reluctant butterfly emerging from the cocoon of his despair. He took a tentative step, then another, drawn towards the light as if by an invisible thread. He ventured further from the tree, his heart pounding in his chest, his fears dissipating like wisps of smoke in the wind. A glistening brook meandered through the forest, its waters bubbling with laughter and joy. Enchanted, Ewan knelt at its edge, the cool water washing over his hands, cleansing his soul. As he gazed into the depths, he saw a reflection - not of himself, but of those he had lost, their smiles beckoning him to remember the love they had shared. Tears streamed down his face, but these were no longer tears of sorrow; they were tears of joy, of remembrance, of the love that had been locked away in his heart. He stood and breathed deeply, his lungs filling with the scent of life, the perfume of wildflowers and the tang of damp earth. Ewan wandered through the forest, his senses alive to the symphony of nature: the rustle of leaves, the song of birds, the soft brush of a squirrel's tail as it scampered by. The once oppressive silence had become a chorus of life, a harmonious melody that resonated within him, stirring a long-dormant ember in his heart. Love, he realized, was not a thing that could be lost or misplaced; it was a part of him, a fire that burned in the deepest recesses of his soul. It was a gift, not to be hoarded, but to be shared, to be given freely and without reservation. As the sun dipped below the horizon, the world painted in hues of gold and crimson, Ewan returned to the ancient oak tree. He knelt, his fingers tracing the letters carved into its weathered bark, a monument to the love that had once been and would never be forgotten. With a smile, he rose and stepped back into the world, his heart aflame, ready to embrace life and all its beautiful, chaotic wonder. And as the shadows lengthened, the boy who had discovered himself, who had journeyed from sorrow to happiness, walked away from the tree, leaving behind the darkness that had once consumed him.
Hi Sir, is it a good idea to use the "solitary as an oyster" quote as my teacher says not to use it every time we do ACC as its one that everyone uses.
it probably depends how you analyse it tbh, like if u give some conventional analysis of what the quote signifies then its probably not a good idea to use it. However if u give a good/perceptive analysis there's no problem with it as it does highlight a lot about Scrooge's character
