Good morning Mike, I am a retired body and fender mechanic I am doing some custom painting on motorcycles nowadays and love it. I really enjoy your videos. You had mentioned how the fluorescents don’t hold up well to UV light. I wanted your professional opinion, if I use a quality UV Clear will that give me a long lasting paint job without fading. Thank you, Bob Mahaney Baltimore Maryland
Great tutorial Mike!!! I really enjoyed this one. Not sure if I asked you this on another video or not... but what size needle do you use for this type of work? Does needle size have a great affect on this type of painting? Really a better question would be... as I get ready to buy equipment to get started should I be concerned with needle size? Thanks for sharing your skills man! Jimmy SE Michigan.
Coming of the template that's a tip I've not seen on ANY other RUclips video , I've struggled for years to use a stencil template got frustrated and just free handed my flames
Hey Mike, I noticed we use the same bottles, however I thought the feeder hose was a lil thin so i've upgraded mine using clear hose from home depote, seems the thinner feeder hose clogged easier? whats your thoughts on the bottles?
@@MikesBrush I do, I took some pics, i'll send them through FB messanger. I basically used 2 types but found the clear 1/4 od vinyl works best vs. 1/4 od polyethlene, the polyethlene cracks on the inside nipple and causes flow issues... trial and error.... look for my FB message.
I might make a video about this later but overall just work tighter when going over with the color layers and not be so loose. Flames always look better on black anyway.
@@MikesBrush everything I go to a rally theres guys stripping on bikes. Or they want ghost flames with skulls. Or tribal flames or women on flames . Or the women riders want men on flames or pink flames its wild. I do pinstriping but trying to do more airbrush as well.
I love your work man but please work on your website, it’s difficult to read and not easy to navigate . I’m interested in some stencils but could not find them on your site

Flames is my weakness! Shhh sometimes I’m fluent at them other times I got to watch a bit of RUclips 😂

Do you have stencils that would be the. Right size for rc car bodies?
thumbs up
Did you spray the black or did you hand paint it , did you have to seal the canvas
That opaque white is actually pronounced like oh-payk. It's a long "A" sound as in bake, snake or cake.
i will continue to say it as i do. Thanks.

What if you have a lighter background. Like what if it's a white background. How would you do it to not get all the over spray.

@@MikesBrush yes but on motorcycles any color bike, flames look good. And here in amarillo tx. Theres a lot of bikers.😁
theres bikers everywhere. theres reasons not all of them have flame jobs.
@@MikesBrush I know there every where but here in amarillo there's a lot of bikers. More than what you would think.

You know, kinda like how you don’t pronounce opaque correctly , but we won’t bust your chops about that man
