You two are as South African as you are your respective nationalities. Thank you for honoring our country, people, and different cultures! Ps. Beautiful part of South Africa. But bitching cold. So is our beautiful Mpumalanga. Beautiful and warmer in winter!
Thank you for immersing yourselves in our culture, nature and cuisine! We are very proud of our country, and it is the best compliment EVERRR when overlanders enjoy it with us.
Hey Leigh and Steph. I found your channel as your landy landed in Cape Town. It is SO lekker watching you guys enjoying yourselves in our beautiful country and here in Cape Town. Yep, I'm a local here in CT and it really warms my heart to see you guys enjoying yourselves here. It is amazing the very high reputation that we have when it comes to rebuilding vehicles for overlanding, etc and that you guys put your trust in our guys here to get your landy rebuilt for your next adventures and I know they will deliver!. I watch 4xOverland as well and it is amazing how many camping, overlanding, etc accessories and gear is manufactured locally and of top quality too. Just a pity about the weather. I am not sure when you guys were in the Cederberg, but I hope it wasn't during those HUGE storms that caused the access road to Citrusdal to wash away. That bobotie - yum!! Enjoy your time here in Cape Town!! Oh, glad that Andrew's 105 found a good home.
The easiest way to keep your windshield from freezing or getting ice on them put something over in your windshield by cardboard or a sheet to clean in on one door shut it pull all the way across but the other end on the other door and shut it that will keep be nice off your windshield okay well have a good day and have fun Dion 🖖🐾
As a South African migrant to Australia I totally agree about the pies! Enjoy your channel. Nice revisiting parts of SA we haven't seen in 30 years! My adult kids find it a bit boring when I point out in your vlogs places we have been! The Oz stuff they know because we do the 4WD thing here.

I've been taking Safaris for years around Southern Africa, and "bush cooking" stays the best....coming from my clients as well. Only your "stove" or "oven" differs. No need to eat dehydrated or tinned food because you are camping. It's a sign of a lazy overlander/camper ( those stuff is stached away in your emergency box, where you have to dig it out, in order not to be tempted for a shortcut ) Nothing beat the smell of flames and smoke in a dish. Most of the destinations, even if you are wild like ItchyBoots, there is always some fresh stuff to buy along the road... Happy journeys, all of you nice people commenting.
Jiss julle moet nou bietjie Afrikaans leer praat, that accommodation in the Cederberg mountains, simply stunning, such a beautiful place in SA. Enjoy our country!

Wow your Africa journey has been amazing so far am enjoying it a lot . Plus looking forward to seeing more of grizzly and bears new build . As for rock climbing with baboons or monkeys I had the little buggers ( the monkeys ) dropping things on us for fun . They thought it was great fun , we did not .
