I just watched this & the teachers were the most heart-warming part of the video. Such adorable young ladies, doing AMAZING work. It was such a lovely ending. 💖🐿️🍃
Those are the perfect moments of a journey that make all the stress and sacrifice that it takes to do it, completely worthwhile. Thank you for sharing your perfect campsite and lovely new friends!
Growing up in London as a kid I would watch Les Higgins driving around the Aus Bush. Watching that made me move to Oz and go to the remote locations. Now I’m stuck working in Perth I find myself living vicariously through your films. Keep doing what your doing and I hope I bump into you on the road.
Great episode guys. SUPURB drone shoots, showing the best that WA has to offer. And boy what an awesome camp spot. Oh yes, and great to final meet you today at the Perth 4WD show Anyone in the Perth area, pop down and say Hi to Leigh & Steph. They are 2 truly lovely people. Got to hang out in Grizzly which was an honour Remember people, if you support these guys on Patroen, we get to see more of this great content. Don’t put it off, the guys will REALLY appreciate your support
Thank you so much Peter, it was a pleasure to meet you at the show. We'll catch you again somewhere in WA. We will be on the look out for a Toyota waving to us 😉
Great video, well done. It's a real paradigm for this Canuck to think of water being warm. Streams, rivers and lakes in Canada only make me think of freezing cold, to have a water hole where the water may be too warm, incredible!
What wonderful photography, and the interview with the girls heart warming. Enjoy you travels - thank you both heaps for sharing such remote parts of oz!!
Wow now that was a beautiful camping spot . What beautiful scenery and awesome views from the drone . Loving your Australia adventures so far and looking forward to seeing more . That school was a great concept and sounded awesome . Hope you get to visit , you both would show the school in a great way , in a video you both are such great people in the way you show other ways of life in your videos . Cheers to another absolutely beautiful adventure video . Thanks for sharing this beautiful adventure video with us all your over landing friends . Cheers from Steve Stott in Sutherlin Oregon U.S.A. :) :) :) .
A WARM welcome to both of you to the Pilbara. So happy to see you both exploring this part of Australia. I work close to where this part of your trip has taken you. Your comments regarding Running Waters made me smile. These areas like Carawine and alike have given me plenty of memories. Having followed you both online with your travels and know you enjoyed this area has made more more enthusiastic with my own travels around remote Western Australia, my backyard. Safe and happy travels. Looking forward to see where your heading next. There is plenty of paradise out here if you open your eyes.
Could this be one of you best ever episodes, the cinematography was amazing giving us a real sense of the atmosphere at those stop overs, thanks for sharing
It’s a pretty unique part of the world, been very fortunate to have been there also, and what a wonderful experience for those teachers living in those communities and teacher and learning about each other’s ways of country ❤️
Again a video on a professional level. Really worth all the effort. Great pictures, very sympathetic story, good choice of music. And not to forget the camerawork and the edit. Absolut great. Thanks for that and for sharing!
you drove trough wather, this tends to push the blocks a bit further out than normal. Then it sits prone for sand or stoned to get in between disk and pad. Usually i reverse and brake hard to get it out. However keep the camper in mind ;) you might find a mess....
Even though you are no longer a hidden secret, you still provide hidden treasures. Can't wait to catch up to date, or to be a Patreon, that means having money and rewatching all videos again, you know I would, I know I would. Waiting for that TheOutFit and G&B video. ¡¡PURA VIDA!!
You can get a rock caught between the disc and the caliper. It will eventually get ground down and and dislodge itself. Usually with no damage. Great video and some fantastic locations. I am an ex West Australian and would love to get back to some of those Pilbarra spots over the next few years.
Great video guys. Was lucky enough to call Carawine and Running Waters home for many years as our family owned Warrawagine Station. Definitely a lot more hidden spots along the Oakover, Nullagine and Degray Rivers. Keep up the fantastic videos 🙌🏼
Found you from Ronny. New sub here. What a fantastic adventure. Great swimming hole, must have been hard to leave. Looking forward to following your trek across Australia
Thank you for this wonderful video. Its interesting - you are always positiv, "groovy" - but in this episode you have a inner glow, a bright, brilliant, radiant,... smile. Its a extraordinary noticeable happiness. Sorry, I dont know how to express it. Wish you of these adventures.
Awesome Job Steph... Love the campsite... Steph's Editing is superb now. Go back and watch a few from the very beginning. You guys have really stepped it up!!! Great to see !!!
❤🇦🇺🦘🇦🇺❤ Sensational Spot Steph and Leigh. On our bucketlist now for us Proud Aussies! Great Vlog Stephy Thank You. I travelled the Pilbara 48 years ago as a 10yo, Marble Bar is still my greatest memory along with Millstream. 😍
Love the river camping at Nullagine. I spent 6 months working in a gold mine there called the B 18:28 lue Speck in the mid 70s, went swimming in that river many times, great memories.
Thankyou for sharing and in particular the introduction to the teachers you met. What an inspiring glimpse into the local community. How cool would it be for someone to record their journey.
Thank Q. For another interesting video of my state. I felt Septh felt at home. Being the driving force. In the left hand seat. Looking forward to the next video.
Felicitations Stephy for all the progress, and all the hard work. This is indeed one of the most polished videos so far, and it's so cool to include sfx intro your videos. You guys are so nice and authentic. Been watching your channel for some time now, and you are one of my favourites. Keep doing what you're doing, because you are doing great! Cheers from Bucharest
Oi! From Germany. Just getting ready to run to work. The places you found look great to hang out. BTW my GR20 adventure Last month went perfect. We started in Calenzana southbound and we found the trail in a very quiet, almost deserted state. Just a hand full of fellow hikers used the opportunity to hike a perfect weather window in a beautiful off-season. With refugees not in service but still open for hikers we used the opportunity once in a while but also slept in our tent. I could not imagine to hike this trail in the summer season as there are too many hikers coasting around but I‘ve fallen in love with Corsica and will come back for more. Presumably next year in October when the trail becomes a fair bit more private. BTW, with an appropriate sleeping bag you could easily leave your tent at home, as a number of french dudes proved to be sufficient. But, mine had a comfort rate of 8 degrees C , so, no thanks. Cheers guys
G'day Leigh and Steph, pleased to see you enjoyed your little wander through the Pilbara, I can only agree with you in saying how magnificent certain parts of the remoter inland Pilbara actually can be. I ventured into the region a little over thirty years ago, the Oakover River (Upper Carawine and Carawine Gorge) the Davis River (Running Waters) and the Rudall River ~ Rooney Creek and the Desert Queen Baths were all truly remote and not as accessible as they are these days, I am not trying to diminish the fact that every place you have visited and shown in this Pilbara series is in fact remote, but with todays technology in Satellite/GPS mapping and communications and of course better modes of transport, be they a today version high tech four wheel drive or a well maintained non technology yet more than capable Land Rover Defender such as yours. Your Rover simply brings back very fond memories as my initial inland Pilbara venturing was all done with my Land Rover 109 series Safari Wagon, it had a 3.5 litre V8 petrol engine, which guzzled fuel like a drunken miner guzzles cold beer, it's only downfall back then was on one outside of any major population base carried even the most basic spares or service parts, so you needed to be utterly self sufficient in every respect. The power of the internet, RUclips and videos such as your channel have genuinely opened the door to adventure and possibly plant seeds of adventure in the minds of folk who honestly just didn't know these magnificent places actually exist, your journeys throughout the countries you have visited, the open honesty of ordinary folk across the World who simply smiled and said hello in what ever way they communicated with you, certainly changed my appreciation of humanity, for that I thank you. Now for a little useless information on the Hickman Crater, I was the 6th modern day person to stand on the rim of the crater after Dr Hickman had revealed it's origins and location, the crater has no Indigenous mythology as of today. I am the silly bugger who planted the post/visitor log book letter box, I try to rescue the log book at least once a year, sending it to Dr Hickman just so he can see who has been to and seen his crater, I also planted the signs leading to the crater, sadly many of the signs have been taken for reasons unknown, my wife and I plotted/documented and marked every Pebble Mouse Mound with a shiny marker stake you may have been curious about as you drove past on you way into the crater, sadly the crater as the Pebble Mouse Mounds won't survive the relentless push for resources that is currently powering Australia's economy. Should you ever come back to this ancient land and should you be curious enough to track me down, I would be chuffed to show you places and waterholes yet to be discovered by the World. Safe Travels : Joe Fury
Incredible story, thank you so much for sharing that with us mate. What adventures you must of had. We really enjoyed our time at Hickman Crater and of course all of the Pilbara 😊
Great video guys! Beautiful scenery, beautiful photography, beautiful stories about not just the land but it’s peoples too, and I mean this in the most respectful way possible, BEAUTIFUL STEPHY!! This one checked all the boxes 👍🏻
Australia will never ceize to amaze me, "Between Port Hedland and Alice Springs" is like saying "between Paris and Belgrade (Serbia)". Amazing video, as always. Those teachers are very inspiring, you could make an entiry documentary series about their passion.
Spotted you in Mandurah on the 2nd of November, unfortunately you were a few cars ahead of me and turning right off Gordon Road. Keep up the good work Leigh and Steph. I’m a regular viewer and always like👍 , just don’t comment. Always enjoy your work, happy travels.
What an amazing place, you are quickly pushing WA to the top of my must-see list! Loved the drone footage especially - please get in touch if you ever make it over to Central QLD - I have a 90 that would love to adventure with GNB :)
Great vid, we spent a month in the Pilbara in April and was very happy to take a swim when we could to wash off the red dust and yeh the stone in the brake got us as well😂
Great video. In the very early 70s, during my primary school years in the UK, we had a teacher who took a year off to travel around the world in his series 3 swb hardtop land rover. Swb !!, yes. On his return, he would run lunchtime slide shows for us kids. I was captivated most by the Australia section. May be watching Skippy had something to do with it. Ironically, his name was Mr Gulliver. I kid you not.
No way, but spoken like a true patriot Ozy!!! Some of the places you visited in Central Asia were just amazing!! Sorry but the red soil with only gum trees doesn't cut it for this Kiwi! haha. Take care and travel safely.
Thanks Steph and Leigh. If you have the contacts of the teachers you met, please share them with me on private message. We run a not for profit that refurbishes digital equipment for students and are looking for communities such as Punmu we can help. Having someone on the ground like those teachers is the difference between getting what you need, and getting what people think you need. Thanks.
@@leighdearle5965 Thanks, I really enjoyed catching up with you both. You're both lovely people and very engaging. Hope to see you soon again, take care and safe travels..
I'm just now noticing you took the limb risers off. They would have been helpful around 1:37 ! I finally got some use out of mine but found out they don't work so good when going backwards :)
They are illegal in Australia so we have removed them although you're right I should of put them on for this track. On the outback trails where there are no pedestrians we could install them for sure.
@@leighdearle5965 No kidding! I wouldn't have guessed they were illegal. I should probably check to see if they are actually legal where I am now that I think about it.
Looked absolutely beautiful, there had to be some croc or something in the water to kill you it is Australia?? The three young ladies seem to have a great job and the love for the kids shows. I wish more teachers could stay like that. Awesome filming, editing and content. Thank you for sharing this. Stay safe and healthy!!

Curious bout the croc situation, how do you know bouts where you can and can't swim?
Yes about my Question too I have been in Australia 1985 - 86 as a Tourist about the little and big Crocs, Snacks and so on all will kill you.

Thanks for the tip, that could possibly be what happened.
Another very very nice video!! So beautifully put together, and a pleasure to watch! Well done Stephy :-)
You need a Silky Saw mate! Much faster cutting and better edge retention - ideal for our iron-like tough hardwoods👍
I'll have to check that out thanks heaps.
I was going to say the same thing, especially since they're folding. Keep one in the tool bin behind my rear seat in my F250 at all times.
i'm falling in love with Australia ❤️

You two are glowing with pleasure and joy in Australia.
On health and a happy journey ahead. 🍻 🌞🌞🌞
Great vid folks, you have found some wonderfull out of the way spots. I was pleasantly surprised with Marble Bar when I visited a few years ago.
We loved Marble Bar, I actually got offered a plumbing job there. We considered it 😉
You can get a rock caught between the disc and the caliper. It will eventually get ground down and and dislodge itself. Usually with no damage. Great video and some fantastic locations. I am an ex West Australian and would love to get back to some of those Pilbarra spots over the next few years.
Really a nice episode you have shared! Exactly the paradise for camping.
Great video guys. Was lucky enough to call Carawine and Running Waters home for many years as our family owned Warrawagine Station. Definitely a lot more hidden spots along the Oakover, Nullagine and Degray Rivers.
Keep up the fantastic videos 🙌🏼
That's one awesome station to own, lucky you although I'm sure you worked hard to enjoy living in this beautiful region.
Awesome episode guys. Love the video you you put together Steph:) Look for to the next one!!

Another great episode with amazing places. The story of the 3 teachers is wonderful - so inspiring!
I’d have to agree, Running Waters is one of the best camps out there, especially when it’s in flood.
Awesome Job Steph... Love the campsite... Steph's Editing is superb now. Go back and watch a few from the very beginning. You guys have really stepped it up!!! Great to see !!!
G'day Ed. Thank you so much, I did tell Stephy this is one her best efforts yet.

Thankyou for sharing and in particular the introduction to the teachers you met. What an inspiring glimpse into the local community. How cool would it be for someone to record their journey.
Yay for teachers! ❤️

Biutiful roads, My Friend, 😘

Beautiful!! Isn't there crocodiles in Australia? That river definitely looks like somewhere a croc would hang out lol
Not here. There are lots of inland freshwater spots with no crocs.

I am happy after seeing this episode ! Thx
I'm surprised it's so empty! Great spot though! See you tomorrow!
Looking forward to seeing you 😊
@@leighdearle5965 Thanks, I really enjoyed catching up with you both.
Great video!!!
A bit far from the coast for crocs, probably just poisonous spiders, centipedes, snakes, drop bears, and Swan Lager to watch out for.
@@raygale4198 I knew there has to be something deadly there it is Australia.
