- Susan Hall, the Conservative Party's choice to be the next Mayor of London, still insists she was 'pickpocketed' on the tube - despite having her wallet returned with all her money inside. She uses it as an opportunity to claim that things are going 'very wrong' in Sadiq Khan's London.
Nick Ferrari isn't convinced, asking if she might be mistaken - or else the victim of the most incompetent pickpocket of all time.

This reminds me of a horrible thing that happened to me last night. I came back after work and opened the front door, all my possessions were exactly as I had left them. But they could have all been stolen and then returned, so I immediately called a radio station to complain about this disgusting crime. I still feel violated.

An even worse crime than pickpoketing on the undrground is the spat of burglaries in this country where the criminal breaks into your home, take glasses from one coat pocket and puts them in another coat pocket, then sneak back out. It's happened to me a few times, and it's very disturbing.

Also, when someone breaks into your home when you are in and nicks something, usually a wallet or keys. Then, when you are out, they break in again and return the item completely intact. I have a spare set of keys, by the way.

I have misplaced things before. I didn't ring a national radio station to complain about a surge in crime? This lady is an absolute melt.
The thing is, if it fell out of her pocket and she never got it back then she could perhaps claim to be a victim of crime - but when she got it back, surely she had the sense to think maybe she dropped it and would simply say nothing at all. She clearly thinks she can just make up being a victim of crime and I fear now this has backfired she will seek to create other incidences.

I had a terrible thing happen to me and my family. When I was a kid I (along with everyone I knew) owned a railway, a water company, an electric, gas and telecoms business, a blood plasma service, a post office, a mail delivery services, an ambulance service, a waste collection service…and they’ve all been stolen from me. I also had the freedom to live and work in 27 other countries, the ability to buy a house on 3x salary, expected retirement at 60, the option of a council house if I needed, class sizes of 20, free university and a sense of hope and opportunity. These things have been stolen from my children.
Unlike this latest Tory crook, sadly a kind gentleman has not handed back the things that I accidentally forgot, and I was truly robbed.

And she labels that "the truth". Need we say more?!
If the situation had been that her wallet was missing and she wrongly guessed it had been pickpocketed, I would have some sympathy...I think most of us have wrongly thought our phone might have been stolen at one time or other. But you don't lie about it after discovering the truth. Let alone lying then and again lying now, and taking the british public for chumps.

A similar thing happened to me, but in my case the despicable thief didn't just leave my wallet on the seat, they actually put it back in my pocket as well. Seems that she is a perfect candidate for Mayor, in today's world. Who cares what the truth is? All she was doing was using an opportunity (well, a non-opportunity) to raise the spectre of pickpocketing on the London Underground, and the suggestion that she would prevent, or at least seriously reduce, its occurrence in the future. Don't know how she would do it, but that, of course, is irrelevant. What more would expect from a mayor?
