I just picked one of these up really cheap and have been experimenting with different guitars & pickups. It really does better with humbucker pickups then single coils (especially hot single coils like my Fender Tex-Mex pickups) great for practicing little amp. Great review thanks 😊
I have just started learning to play guitar (at 57). I bought a cube micro gx for practice but couldn't get any tones that I liked, I got the Mighty plug and it's great. Really easy to use and so convenient for wearing headphones, great product.
Thank you for going thru all the settings. I have the Fender Mustang V2 but Fender no longer supports the Fuse software. I bought the Plug as a replacement but I am having trouble finding presets, there doesn't seem to be many on the Plugs facebook page.
Cool! I usually go for simple sounds: most of what I actually use is amp simulations with a bit of reverb, sometimes a booster, so I don´t care that much about getting presets. Thanks for watching!
I have the Micro and it’s pretty good. I’ll post a video about it tomorrow. But to me, yeah, the Nux sounds better. Glad you liked it, thanks for watching.
I had the Micro first (this was June) and hated it. I don't know if mine was defective but it had some odd volume drop offs using Bluetooth. I really didn't like the limitations on the effects and amps. I sent it back a week later. I circled back to the Nux. I initially didn't want to be tied to an app. Well, I could adjust quicker and save my settings. Once you have them saved, you can use it without the app. It sounded better to me and I run pedals into it (yes, that does work). It's amazing what it can do for $69.
@@joellebrodeur1015 Did the same, and is exactly how I use it. Pedalboard with around 7 analog drives and fx into the JZ model, sounds great. Even better after the update. No regrets.
With the latest firmware, I don’t feel any difference in tone, but they added more preset slots. It’s easy to get a light crunch, especially with the AC30, but also with the Marshall and even with a clean amp and the Morning Glory pedal. Thanks for watching!
I intend to use Nux Mighty Plug to practice and study at night. The lessons I'm taking are video streamings from RUclips, from e-learning websites not live and from videos saved on my laptop. I want to listen those video lessons from Nux by using the Bluetooth 4.2 connection. Do you think I'll get a imperceptible lag between audio and video? Is it usable or the lag is too much perceptible? If not usable them I'll get the Fender Mustang micro instead. What do you think? Thanks for your help.
Hey Tiago, thanks for watching. There's always lag with bluetooth, but for your purposes I would say the Nux is very usable. I have both the Nux and the Fender, and bluetooth capabilities are similar on both. Also, the Nux has considerably more settings, it's cheaper and arguably sounds better. I made a video about the Fender Mustang Micro too, if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/iybntf9AvUQ/видео.html
It’s pretty simple actually… you run a cable from the guitar to the pedal and plug the NUX straight into the pedal output. It works great, especially with the clean amps. Thanks for watching!
The sound is coming straight out of the headphone output into my interface. This is what you would hear in your headphones if you were using the Mighty Plug. Thanks for watching!

Really? I love it with single coils, especially with my Jazzmaster! Thanks for watching.

It really is! I use it all the time. Thanks for watching.

The "Tweed Deluxe" is my #1 pick of all the demo!
I really like the clean “Roland JC” style! Thanks for watching.
Is it normal that on my Mighty Plug the big button is flimsy and you can hear it rattling when you shake the device?
Doesn’t happen with mine! It’s plastic, but it’s tight and relatively sturdy. Thanks for watching.
@@hermeticbasementstudiosinc4904 thanks!
Wow..what a Marshall sound. Can you get a good light crunch? What about the firmware? Any improvement in tone quality?

please do it for the Mighty Plug Pro

How do you run pedals through it? I thought you plugged it into guitar jack and used headphones.
