i was debating on these two brushes and I ultimately think that the flexy brush would win, at least for me. The fewer bristles make it easier and faster to go through the hair, but it still looks like it has enough teeth to detangle the hair pretty thoroughly. I'd rather minimize time spent in the shower and use something that can go through the hair quicker(especially with the larger surface area). The tangle teezer looked it like smoothed your hair pretty well, so I think this would work good as a smoothing/styling brush, maybe running that through the hair before doing twists for a twist out. Plus, I didn't like how the tangle teezer bristles were so easily deformed. This is a small thing, but I love the colors for the tangle teezer(especially the lilac!) but I'm not really a fan of the colors of the flexy brush, but I'm just nit picking at this point haha
No you’re not nit picking at all. You want everything you have to look good :P I also wish they had prettier colors for the flexy brush. You mentioned the smoothing of the tangle teezer; I didn’t even notice because I use my hands for smoothing a wash and go and haven’t done a twist out in a while; but it is important for someone that uses tools for wash and go’s and especially twist outs.
I used the Curl Keeper Flexy Brush back in the day, although, I tried a dupe of it and it was good for a while until the back detached and the bristles got bent out of shape. Not sure of the quality of the Curl Keeper but if it lasts longer then it’s really going to be good for a while.
@@kinkynikki So I no longer use it I believe it lasted maybe a year maybe a little less. I now use Felicia Leatherwood. I used to HATE IT but I don’t know why since doing the detox my hair is now more manageable and I can detangle with Felicia leatherwood. I do have to create sections though probabaly 3 to 4 on each side to get through but doesn’t take too long as I have fine strands and medium density hair as well as short medium ish length. I also detangle with my conditioner in after shampooing
@@kinkynikki Also I like the Felicia because it doesn’t cause my hair to frizz. Sometimes paddle like brushes can frizz my hair up and affect my styling though I don’t use Felicia to style my hair just to thoroughly detangle.
hmm I'll see how the flexy brush lasts over the months (since I've had it for only 6 months) I do own the Felicia Leatherwood brush because it's so raved about and I can't say that I hate it. It is a great brush but I feel like detangling takes a little bit longer for me. (not as long as with the tangle teezer but still a little longer) Maybe it's a muscle memory thing where you get better using the tool the more you use it.
@@PreppyFay12 For me it's pretty much the same (but I can't remember how my hair felt using a paddle brush) but maybe you're using better conditioners with the brush and that's why it frizzes less. Or you smooth the conditioner in better. For me the "frizz factor" is pretty much the same with every brush because no brush can smooth my hair anyway (while detangling)
If I remember correctly I said hooded dryer vs bonnet dryer. Hooded dryers stand on their own (table top or or the ones you can roll on the floor; there are also ones you can attach to your wall but no consumer needs that 😅) and they dry your hair without touching it. You have to put Bonnet Dryers on top of your head (like a helmet) so it touches your hair while it’s wet which might cause unnecessary frizz. Bonnet dryers are much cheaper than hooded dryers and they are smaller The material can be compressed because soft fabrics are used for such dryers (which makes storage in a small space easier). Ps: your profile picture is so cute. Did you draw this yourself? 😊
A hair stylist called Jennifer Rose said that she has seen a lot of root breakage on clients that finger detangle. If that’s not the case for you then it’s fine 😃
I know but hair health is more important ❤️ you’ll get clumping with the right styling practices (but if you don’t have Root breakage it’s totally okay to finger detangle 😌)
I haven’t 🤔 mostly carbon combs or otherwise seamless combs; I’ve tried a wooden brush and it was a fail 🙄 but I’m about to try something else. Do you have a recommendation? :)
This is EXACTLY how a comparison video should be done THANK YOU!

The back detached 😯 that's crazy.
I've had my flexy brush since October and no negative changes. How long have you been using the dupe version?

Which one of them less pain with tangles ?
Excellent review thanks you for quality content 💕✨
Your hair has grown and thickened a lot❤️🥰
Thanks ☺️ but that’s just an optical Illusion :P
My hair looks a different length every week XD
Sometimes longer sometimes shorter

u said hooded dryer and helmet dryer in one of your videos. What is the difference dear?

I personally only finger detangle and my curls pop better.

@@kinkynikki really???? I will pay closer attention to that😥it helps my curls stay clump together.

If you section it wouldn't take so long
Have you tried a wooden comb
