The History of Glo Worm -1982

In 1982 Hasbro's Playskool division released The Glo Worm. Kids would give the worm a little squeeze and the vinyl head would light up. The first worm was such a big success that hasbro followed it up with a new version that played music. Books, night lights and tv shows were all inspired by the Glo Worm. In this video we take a look back at the Glo Worm's history.

See I thought you were supposed to hug them. I tried one in the shop and I wrapped my arms around it to hug it, but when I did that I couldn't see its head and whether it was glowing or not.

I had one of those small rubber ones when I was like 9 or 10. I really loved it😁 Crazy enough I still think of it at least once a year.🤷🏻‍♂️

They change every few years or so. The one being sold today is a remake of the original 1982 design which I find pretty neat. (Sold exclusively at Walmart)

When I was a kid I saw one at a toy store and I heard that if you hug them they glowed. So I hugged the hell out of one, by doing so, that meant that its head was beside my ear and I couldn't see if it was glowing or not. I didn't have enough time to figure out any more details before I was led away from the toy display.
