I recommend Robbie Krueger autobiography there’s a free audio book copy on you tube…anyway he has great insight…a few stories never heard before…and his opinion that Rays main job was to maintain the Morrison myth with a dash of truth…it’s well done worth the listen…
I used to listen to the doors obsessively after their resurgence after the movie. Just started listening to them again after 30 years and realising really what a shame it was that he died as he did.
"I'm going to leave my drinking buddies and shack up with a heroin addict." Not sure that is a life upgrade? Not sure how much poetry Jim wrote in Paris.
I'm not sure Jim Morrison staying with his hanger ONS drinking Buddy's is any better. Let's see who can burn there Liver pancreas kidneys and heart out faster. I think Jim was screwed either way.
If death happens in the warm bathtub, it quickly becomes unsettling. Therefore the decision of the mortuary to not show the ending to the biography, it is better to stay mystery.
They left his body in the tub for a few days, believe it or not. Pam didn’t want them to take the body right away. At that point the body was in pretty bad shape.
@@frozendivots1564 They didn't leave him in the bathtub. His corpse was wrapped in plastic and packed in dry ice, remained in the apartment while Pam and Alain Ronay, a friend of the couple's, made funeral arrangements. Three days later, the undertakers delivered the coffin that Pam had ordered (the cheapest possible model, the equivalent of $75 USD).
@@zyrrhoshow about they exhume his body? I believe 100% that he did die July 3 1971 in Paris but it would end the rumors, and for the fans to know without a doubt that Jim is there in the ground. Wouldn't be much left but they could match dental or something
Great to hear RAY telling the story of Morrison. I was and still am a big fan. And LA WOMAN was THE classic to end it all! It still puzzles me knowing that scandal author Andrew Goldman was working on a Morrison biography. What could he have told us that we do not already know? Did Morrison kill his mother? Surely Andrew would have found out and told us everything about it. Still, however, waiting for a biography that showed us the poet that could write wonnderfull stuff llike THE CRYSTAL SHIP, RIDERS ON THE STORM and so many others instead of the drunk or the schandal figure we always get to see..
So sad that Jim Morrison died so young and after making such a fantastic album. Thanks for uploading this.
So much art left on the table from The Doors. Even with a short career they were still able to cement themselves as rock legends
What a great storyteller Ray Manzarek was.

Really very inspiring and educational documentary 🥲
I find it very strange and mysterious that no one saw his body.

It sounded like Pam saw him.

Morrison probably wanted to leave the states as soon as possible because of that Miami thing.
RIP Jim
11:07 The guy sitting at bottom right looks a bit like Jim Morrison.
Oddly enough when groups finish their contracts someone often dies...
Why did they all say 'man' after every sentence?
HE SAID , SHE SAID ,,, ,,,, I D0N'T BEIiEVE IT ----- RIP RAY AND JIM

Ray Manzarek should’ve went to Paris
- JIM NELL'ANIMA L'INFINITO.
It’s “Reflects” not “Reflecks” 🤔
Rays delusional,Jim was done with the doors when he left for Paris.
Like you would know.
He hated the drummer
Well according to Densmore he said he wanted to come back & make another album just before he died
4:59 who is that women?
Pam; whom Jim moved to Paris with
