    Well explained, thank you. I arrived here to find out what Isometric was about & was surprised with what I found. I learned to use rulers, compasses etc in H. School (late 60s) in a subject called “geometric design” which was ok up to the point that having completed the task in pencil we also had to ink it with Indian ink(??) by adding a special attachment to the compass, which often ended up in a mighty ink blob & had to start again!

    how to make sphere? should we like join all the midpoints of every square we made ?

    • @shaneinashirt2913
      @shaneinashirt2913  7 лет назад

      Great question and it's actually really easy. In isometric a sphere is drawn as a simple circle. On the above video I would place my compass point where the three squares meet and make it wide enough so that it only just touches the edges of the three squares as you draw the circle.

    so the radius of the circe is equals to the dimension of rhombus?

    • @shaneinashirt2913
      @shaneinashirt2913  7 лет назад

      Arain bro's, yes. The radius of the circle is half the length of any of the square's sides.

    • @shaneinashirt2913
      @shaneinashirt2913  9 лет назад

      +caipirinh0 a sphere in isometric looks like a non-isometric circle. Like this: studiomaven.org/images/b/bf/10_sphere_isometric.jpg

    • @caipirinh0
      @caipirinh0 9 лет назад

      Indeed. However, what I meant to say is how do I do an ismetric circle wich are on the axis of the sphere. I dont know if im using the right terms, so Im going to send you a picture to better understanding. It will be on red

      Also, i forgot to thank you for the attention and for the free knowlage sharing that you do by videos

    • @shaneinashirt2913
      @shaneinashirt2913  9 лет назад

      +caipirinh0 in the above video there are three faces on the cube that you could draw circles on right?
      If you made those three square faces all share the same centre point (like they're all intersecting eachother) then drew an isometric circle on each one of the squares you would have three circles on the three axes of the sphere you want (like the picture I linked earlier)

  • @vic1028

    of course its simple with a compass or what you call it... what about drawing by hand?

    • @kilometer6276
      @kilometer6276 7 лет назад +1

      its not meant to be drawn by hand. its meant to be drawn by a compass. yes it is a compass by the way
