Great job Shreyam!!! Thank you for your feedback!!!
I've been trying to do elipse for the last 2 hours... i'm bafled how simple and accurate this method is.
Thanks, Mick. This method is, in fact, an isometric circle, which looks a lot like an ellipse, so it's probably ok if used as a general drawing technique...
This is a very easy and understandable video, thank you so much for providing such a great video!
Appreciate the feedback. Enjoy drawing (-:
I don't know why but flipping the circle was confusing to me but this just made it seem so much simpler, gonna try this in my next class
Awesome to hear back from you. Yes, just keep to the steps explained, regardless of where the isometric circle is drawn, the steps remain the same: Start with an isometric square, draw the longest possible line, then two lines parallel... and you are set! Blessings
I'm in grade eight but I want to take egd and you've helped me a lot my teacher explained it just a bit quicker but you explained it perfectly
Thanks for the message Gamer Pro. So good to hear from up and coming architects and engineers... enjoy the journey...

Watched this for my finals last year
Appreciate the feedback!! Keep drawing!
It's nice to know how but buying a 35' degree ellipse template will save hours if you want to draw circles in Isometric. Also i'd recommend an adjustable set square, set of dividers, a good ruler and parallel motion if hand technical drawing old school, there's an odd sameness to all these tutorials and none of them relate to the real world where tools of the trade come first.
Hi MC... thanks for reaching out to me... I value your feedback. Please note that it is a curriculum requirement for South African Engineering Students to be able to construct an Isometric Circle without the use of stencils... I personally think it is a great skill to have!! I wish you all of the best!
Thank u sir
My pleasure Travinho. Now it's your turn.
Can you draw an ellipse this way to or not?
Hi Jan-Hendrik. Great question. Here is a HowToEGD tutorial that shows the easiest and correct method to draw an Ellips... ruclips.net/user/livelWDCx5z8R7g?feature=share
you just sound mean, ty tho 🤙🏽
Thaklmks Bitty... Maybe it's the accent... 😀
What's the pencil insert your using in your compass
Hi Steven, thanks for the question. You wont believe it, but this compass is a collectors item gifted to me. Really old. You can check www.jpegd.co.za I think they have similar compass inserts. Cheers
@@HowToEGD thanks I will check it out.
Does this work for rectangles too?
Ho Mr Green, thanks for your question. An Isometric Circle is always drawn inside an Isometric Square... Blessings Stefan
@@HowToEGD thank you sir
Sir can you draw another one
Hi Janet, here is another drawing where an isometric circle is included as part of the drawing... Watch here: ruclips.net/user/liveKclURJb2aJo
Dankie oom
Groot plesier Dylan!! Vreugde
No offence but this is not correct projection of circle onto an Isometric cube. Had to mention since this video is the first suggestion by google to draw a circle in isometric.
Hi Vikra, Thanks for your comment. This video intends to and sets out to only show the easiest way to construct an isometric circle, and in the example, I show the construction in the three possible isometric views. Please apply as needed. All the best.
You deserve a Mercedes bakkie from your followers 🫶🫶🫶😭😭😭
(-: Yes please Sifiso!! Your comment almost means just as much! Glad you benefitted from this video. Please continue to share HowToEGD content with your friends! blessings
