The starship fantasy for me was in Star Wars Galaxies, Being able to decorate the interior of my ship and actually have friends along for the ride was simply the best

This would have been cool 10 years ago. The bare minimum of content they have added with their “exploration” system is nothing compare to other open world games.

A hidden loading screen is fine. All games do that, including proper space sims. That's what Starfield should have done.

Why did it escape me that Massive is doing this game? Who knows, but that's cool. I'm really pessimistic and critical about modern Star Wars as a franchise but this game could be pretty solid. I'm hopeful.
starfield's been real quiet since this video dropped.
why? starfield clears lol. you can't even walk in your ship while in space, and you can't land anywhere you want on a planet.
Also this is not Star Citizen you still have a load screen him saying seamless is just to trick people its a load screen with Animations and from the looks you don't land your ship and go anywhere its still a fish bowl. If anything its Starfield with less choice on the fish bowl you land in just instead of a standard load screen you load with clouds moving around you and you land with a animation playing. It also seems to have less depth in space combat as Starfield as well which is impressive. Cooler landing process than Starfield but its not seamless flight between space and atmo in the same vane as Star Citizen or even No Mans Sky.
Please show customization options.
From what has been shown in all advertising there is none. Every video and interview shows the same ship design and weapon. Even when they were in a later section of the game.

no people hate being lied too, the games initial premise was an open world game with great story and and great graphics....what they got instead was another on rails , generic story and that graphically looks 10+ years old in comparison to other current AAA games. Being passionate about games works both ways, don't assume that just because you are willing to accept a mediocre game that others should follow suit

Star Citizen is trying to bring it to reality but it's been 12 years and we don't even have a beta. No Man's Sky is a sandbox game with not much complexity, stationary enemies, very simple quests, it's fun but i'm pretty sure people who like Open World rpg games don't want a sandbox.
Hate breaking it to you, but doing a seamlessly rpg open world space game filled with content that does not feel generic everywhere is BEYOND THE CAPABILITIES OF ANY DEVELOPER right now, not to mention hardware constraints on the user's end. That's why idi0ts like you who have no idea about game development will always be disappointed. If it's starfield "omg but on no man's sky you get seamless transitions". no. neither you can't land anywhere you want on a planet nor you can walk completely around it without load screens. there is a min 30-35 second animation that you have to wait every single f*cking time to pass loading screen.

no. there is just a few weapon type you can change but that is it. don't expect starfield like customization.

Its basically Starfield.
It's starfield but instead of a loading screen it is a sequence/cutscene.
No matter where you enter in the planet you will end in the same place, that's what the dude was saying in very confusing words to confuse the people watching.
Starfield is not perfect, but the ship combat and customisation is 100x better then this...

The loading is just hidden by clouds or whatever so it doesn't really hit like it could've. Not sure why each orbit area and planet couldn't transition like Tears of thr Kingdom.
Even on the puny Switch you can jump from a sky island and sail all thr way into the depths, seamlessly.
Still impressed with what theyve done here though. Looking forward to it.

So just to be clear, no ship design customization, no crew, no crazy weapons just lasers and torpedos, same lock on for weapon. Shop looks very basic like a transport ship from shadows of the empire. This looks ok, but this would get boring after less than 30min.

@@Hauerization This is not a massive, fully-immersive RPG like Starfield was. Its not a Bethesda game. Its supposed to be a semi-open world, action-based Star Wars game. The combat will be better and more fun than a Bethesda game, but it certainly won't have that depth, and it's not supposed to.

Released on June 26, 2003 to much critical acclaim, it spawned three expansions through 2005. The game was completely overhauled in the last expansion, which frustrated many longtime subscribers."

No it's just a cutscene, depending on which landing spot you've selected to head for. Don't you think if you could manually control the ship, everyone would just crash on purpose? 🤣
we’re not quite there yet in terms of the graphical and cpu power for a game like this. yes- ‘no man’s sky’ has planetary exploration where you can both fly around the atmosphere and journey to each planet. however that game sacrifices that feature for the low poly (non high graphics). while one could argue that we are there in the technological advancement of gaming, keep in mind that these studios have to accommodate for not just pc, but console aswell. hopefully in the near future consoles will either die out or become just as powerful as the highest end pc’s so game devs can have no limit on making a game as grand as people wish.
