    While I likely won’t trade using any of these alternative indicators/chart types, I really appreciate that you explain them in such detail. It’s a great depth of knowledge I’d likely never have gotten otherwise. Aside from watching your videos, I’d never get around to looking up these tools on my own. The list of studies, indicators, chart types, etc are overwhelming and I tend to stick with only what I already know. Sitting back on my downtime and watching your vids is a great opportunity to gain a little more understanding of things that otherwise would have been lost to me. Thank you!

    I started using the traditional candlestick charts because of the clear indication of entries and exits. I tried using HA candlesticks before, but now it almost seems like it would be very beneficial to have a HA chart below a traditional chart like in your examples. I think MACD is a good indicator of trend also, but I've noticed sometimes it won't cross over to negative until it's on the backside of the move and it can start converging, but will end up pushing higher.

This has been something I think us the students have struggled with silently and alot of traders as well outside our team have struggled with. Most traders know where to get out more than where to place their target. Thank you, you are an amazing teacher and just relentless with these helpful life changing videos. I haven’t been actively trading much, just studying and practicing when I have the time, but I don’t feel like we have those clean pullback setups all that much anymore. Every time I’ve seen a good stock and waited for a pullback it seems like it dumps after the first red candle. Had much more success jumping in on a slow green candle during a fast move. It’s possible those are pullbacks on 10 second charts but I don’t have access to those. Thanks ToS.

    I was using HA candles but found I can accomplish the same goal of staying in the trade longer by using Hull moving averages. I usually use 2, the 10/20 or the 8/16. I agree the HA charts offer benefits but entries and exits can bite as HA charts run a candle behind Japanese candles. HA charts do work well during the run. Like many of you, I too like Ross’s videos.

    I like these haikenashi with Bollinger with Keltner bands and 5/8/20 ema, finding entry off bands squeezing together and entering off macd flippage and 5/20ema cross up.
    Someone somewhere setup a slick deviation bands addition to Bollinger bands creating almost rigid entries system. As ya said those candles throw me off with the wicks being mixed up with regular candle traits. Great for as you said identifying smoother movement, renko also helps identify waves for Elliot wave too but shorter frames are needed for resolution. Cheers love your channel learning a ton

    Great video Ross. Very useful. From an Elliott wave perspective you are being alerted by a wave 3 move up and then you wait for the wave 4 pull back to buy in to capture wave 5 up. Very ingenious as there will almost always be a sizable wave 5 move before a more major correction. Wave 3's tend to be larger than wave 5's for stocks but for metals the wave 5 is usually larger than 3 so maybe some larger opportunities can be found there from time to time.

    I like to use Elliot wave and supply and demand zones to identify larger trends, and I usually trade setups off of wave 3 impulses and begin to trim profits after the 1 to 1.618 extension as wave 4 pullbacks are often choppy and range bound theta killers, and thats confirmed to likely be after a zig zag correction on wave 2.
    Basically riding the most volatile wave and exiting on momentum divergence going into wave 4, unless its a lower frame cycle.
    Another I like is when an impulse actually begins with 3 waves, indicating a flat or expanded flat 335 correction l, which will retrace up to 100 percent even 1.32x and have false breaks. Usually after a long bearish trend to all time low you can expect 3 wave corrective moves either as pullbacks, or a bottoming combination pattern resetting the motive trends to traditional 5 wave impulses.

    Thanks Ross. I love the HK candles, they are great for seeing patterns and trends. But as a relatively new trader I focus on regular candles, I found it more difficult to learn two different candle stick charts at the same time.
    But using the two different charts together can make a difference for the experienced traders.

    TD SEQUENTIAL indicator awould also make a great video. When it's triggered to actually show on the chart after 7 candles in a trend, its a really helpful reminder to watch for the reversal with the 9th candle. HA as a sub chart with TDS on the main chart are the 2 indicators I started using recently for exactly the reason you're talking about

    • @secworld3644
      @secworld3644 4 месяца назад +2

      Do you mean scripts or the hotkeys? He doesn't use scripts, he does it all manually, just freaking quickly. How to set up custom hot keys depends on the platform you are using and your preferred setting (sell on ask/sell on bid for example). You'd probably be better off searching for hotkey tutorials for your preferred platform, rather than any specific trader that might prefer another one ;).

    Seems like most videos I watch from Ross is how he says that the 3rd or 4th pull back you shouldn't take as that's when the trend is ending. And often enough on his examples, sure enough price fades the rest of the day... imo that seems to be the play. To short that fade.

  • @Nodd18

    Been using these candlesticks for years and was hoping you'd do a video on them since I like your strategies a lot.
    One remaining question I have is: If the MACD crosses below on the 5 minute chart but is still above on the 1 minute chart, which do you go by? Is the cross below on the 5 minute MACD more telling than the 1 minute?

    • @Granny813
      @Granny813 4 месяца назад +1

      IMO I love when they are both above and the price is above the 200 on the 10sec chart. From Ross’s previous videos, he mostly shows MacD on the 1min chart, he doesn’t seem to talk about using it on the 5.
