    i made the mistake of texturizing my hair to do a “length check” before dying it. BAD idea. i couldn’t just straightened my hair, dyed it and then revert it back. but i wasn’t thinking, i lost my two precious years of having my natural fro and was literally DEVASTATED when i realized that i made the mistake, but i have 1 year of growth and i cut them nasty colored ends off like fake friends and i’m NEVER even looking at a box of that texturizing crap again. if i wanna dye my hair i’m doing it with naturally straight hair or dying my natural fro

    I agree with not going to bed with wet hair. I’m guilty of falling asleep with conditioner in sometimes 😭🥴 but if you do wash and goes, going to bed with wet hair is a no no. All them hours you spent will go down the drain because you will wake up with frizz, I promise. Investing in a hooded dryer is the best thing I’ve done for my hair routine 🙌🏽

    I’m never throwing my money into expensive products just because it says “all natural ingredients.” The all natural products for daily use I was buying all had protein in it and I was already using shampoo and conditioner with protein and gave me protein overload, I thought I had to cut my hair and start over, but what I needed was moisture balance; I found my balance and my hair is back being healthy and strong! Old school products saved my wallet and my hair. I love queen Helene cholesterol I pre poo with it using the original formula and co wash with the super formula and spray it afterwards with soft sheen Carson sta sof fro; grease my scalp with doo gro/sulfur 8 grease-- put on my hijab and I’m out the door.

    I’ll never get box braids again. Took a break for a year did twist hair was soooo thick and healthy .. got braids and my hair was set back for like 6 months worth of progress. So I’m back twist. Tbh I started to feel pressured to getting braids to look better bc of some comments that were made. I folded and now these are the results. Respectfully I’m ganna start telling people to kiss my ass. I want longer hair idc if I look like Celie.

    • @KrissyFizzle
      @KrissyFizzle Год назад +3

      Box braids can be good if you do them yourself.
      You should try learn to do them yourself if you weren't already. Bc then you control the tension, and how much moisture is put in before, and also can control how many you put in.
      That might help.
      Every time I do box braids on my own hair it grows.
      But same time do what works for you, but I'd suggest to do them yourself

    Using shea butter or beeswax. Gives a neat, non frizzy look, but way too heavy for my strands. The hair may never recover from the severe breakage I have now.

    I love watching your hair tips. I've been growing my hair since pre COVID. A lot of people say I have good hair. I've made many mistakes, though, on using rubber bands at the roots, not detangling my hair immediately after taking it out and shocking my hair with scorching hot water, and more. And I do treat my hair like it is plant-a living thing. Point is, I learned a lot of hair tips from you. I'm subscribed everything. Thanks for the tips. Keep them coming.

    I will never be impatient with my hair again when it comes to detangling cause it could’ve been thigh length already! If I didn’t pull it out not detangling one day after soMe small singles! But I learned 😅
