Property taxes are CRAZY HIGH! No income tax? Sure, just like Florida. But the property taxes in Texas are more than double for similar houses in Florida? Why?

I can understand how frustrating it is. The difference in property taxes between Texas and Florida can be attributed to several factors, including differences in local tax rates, property values, and how taxes are assessed. While Texas doesn't have a state income tax, property taxes are often higher to compensate for this. Additionally, Texas relies heavily on property taxes to fund local services and education. Florida, on the other hand, has a different tax structure and may have lower property taxes in some areas. It's essential to research and compare property tax rates before making any commitments.

Absolutely! Checking the real estate tax is definitely a crucial step before making any commitment. It's an essential part of budgeting and ensuring there are no surprises down the road. I actually talked about this in my Pros and Cons video. Thank you!
