Fishing Thomas Point Pt 2 | Chesapeake Bay MD (Bluefish, Sting Ray, Blue Crab)

- Watch part 1 of this series to find out how to get here. Overall a fantastic day for game fish. The bluefish were hitting back to back on both my rods. The spot, perch, and croakers were no where to be seen. I eventually ran out of cut bait and had to switch back to try and get spot. The ray fought us both for at least 45 minutes or more before I decided to man handle him.

@@ZephyrFishing all of them are amazing man keep it up😁
@@yasrismail2107 🙏🙏
Tha's got to be a fun and great experience fishing with your dad. Lots of fun and excitement going on there let alone good old quality time. Keep up the great content.
Haha thank you. Glad you like the content 🎣
Everything I used is linked in bio. Dont forget to turn on 4k HD
Always great content. Thanks for sharing bro
Thanks for your support 💪
Another awesome video bro
Thanks brotha 🎣😁
it takes a while to get the hooks out of their mouth, ive had to do this quite a few times. but they do put up a good fight, really good practice for landing anything big.
Yesssir their mouths are tough so it's hard to get the hook off
I fish there a lot bro but not so much this year. I got a lot of perch and spot there. Hope to see you there soon.
Yessir! Let me know when you go, we can make a video
@@ZephyrFishing yes that would be awesome. What day you normally go there?
@@bongcortfishing back then I went on weekdays but now with my new job I can only do weekends unfortunately. I know the rocks are there rn. Throwing towards the light house
@@ZephyrFishing I probably go next Sunday. I’ll try to catch some stripers. You’re right cast straight to the lighthouse.
@@bongcortfishing let me confirm with you mid next week!
Gotcha plug will catch big blues
Not the right spot to use it. Better used on piers. The blues were waaay out there that day
Hey what's up bro it's me again 😀 next time you get one of those you need to kill it those are scapes and they're horrible for the environment. Every time I pull one up on pier I stab it in the head.
I think there's a false rumor coming around. A lot of people think they're invasive, but in fact theyre not. The Chesapeake program even has it on their site. I heard they're decent eats though if not shark bait. Definitely a good fight too
@@ZephyrFishing there's a rumor long time ago before I moved down you would cut the fins off and bring them to restaurants you know those little hole-in-the-wall places and you can get restaurant credit and get yourself some dinner and stuff and the restaurant will keep the fins and use them for delicacy foods.
@@Mr.Bearns it's flaky white meat I think people are just scared of how it looks or dont know what how to do with it. Need to find one of those restaurants 😂
Until what time can you fish there brother?
There's 2 time slots you can pay for entrance. It's on the website I dont remember but they dont open too late bc it's in a rich neighborhood and they dont like people coming in and out. Very gated community
How did you get daily parking sticker
Part 1
thanks for the video man. what size hook are you using to catch those bluefish?
I think 1/0 or maybe 2/0 don't remember it's been a while 👍👍
Hey! Did I see you at Breezy Point last weekend? Dude fishing from the shore grabbed your line, right? Subscribed, and hope to see you out there again sometime.
Yup that was me! Which shirt were you were? I'll probably remember you if you remind me.
Sounds good catch you around 🎣
@@ZephyrFishing Hell if I remember, man! 😁 I was just next to you, casting out toward the RV side, and there was another dude behind me casting toward the swimming side. The main pier was swamped for a while there, but it was still a good time out in the breeze. I need to find some new spots; I only fish there or at King's Landing park hunting blue cats. Thomas Point looks like a fun getaway, and Solomon's as well.
Ah okay I remember you. I'll have to try out Kings landing for a video. Hope you enjoy all the videos. All part 1 series I share parking information and cost etc
@@ZephyrFishing Thanks! It's a hard bite there for big guys. I caught 18 or so baby blues, perch, spot, and channel cats yesterday before landing a 6-pounder.
@@ddthompson42 🤯🤯 definitely will give it a try when my schedule frees up. Might see you there if that's your go to spot haha
is this morning or afternoon?
Guess you gotta watch everything to find out 🤷♂️
Why keep them baby blues they are so small
I prefer smaller ones the meat is much better. But also it's rare to catch bigger ones especially at this location and off land.
That’s a skate you can eat them more meat them little blues
It's a cownose sting ray. Skates have spikes on their tail. Tails are much shorter too. Havent tried them before but ive heard good things
