  • The SafePal S1 is a product by SafePal, a company backed by Binance Labs, the venture arm of crypto exchange Binance1. The device looks like an old-school MP3 player, but don’t let that fool you. It has a 1.3 inch color screen, six physical buttons and a camera that you can use to scan QR codes2.
The SafePal S1 is very easy to set up and use. You just need to download the SafePal app on your smartphone and pair it with the device via QR code scanning. The app allows you to manage unlimited tokens and coins offline, as well as access decentralized applications (DApps) on various blockchains3. You can also buy, sell and trade crypto securely and conveniently through the app, thanks to the integration with Binance4.
The SafePal S1 is also very safe, as it has several security features that protect your private keys and funds from hackers and thieves. The device is air-gapped, meaning it has no Bluetooth, WiFi or NFC connectivity that could expose it to online attacks4. It also has a military-grade security standard EAL 5+, which ensures that the device is tamper-proof and resistant to physical attacks3. Moreover, the device has a self-destruct mechanism that wipes out all the data if someone tries to brute-force the PIN code4.
The best part is that the SafePal S1 is very affordable, as it costs only $49.99 USD4. That’s cheaper than most hardware wallets in the market, but with more features and functionality. If you’re looking for a handy and reliable crypto hardware wallet that won’t break the bank, you should definitely check out the SafePal S1.

Can you keep your code only to yourself on this device and maybe even write it down on a paper if wanted to?
I'm trying to get into crypto anonymously but if seems difficult now..
Do you know if I can somehow buy coins and remain analog and anonymous?

The private key is always only known to you unless you give it to other people which you shouldn't; except with wallets that don't provide the keys like the Tangem wallet, but most wallets aren't like the Tangem wallet and that includes the Safepal S1. Yes you can write the mnemonic seed phrases down; in fact you need to keep a record of it somehow or you'll eventually lose your wallet access. Getting crypto anonymously doesn't have all that much to do with the wallet, it has to do with where you got the crypto to begin with. If you had your own crypto miners, didn't join a mining pool, and put all your crypto your miners mined straight into a self custody wallet it would be pretty anonymous. Most people really cannot afford to do that. You can look for exchanges that don't have KYC or AML, but at some point you're going to have to sell the crypto most likely. At that point you can be tracked because the only way to get money out is to have an account linked such as a bank account. There isn't much point to being anonymous other than tax evasion which is a serious crime pretty much everywhere.

Yeah, I'm going to make a video about QR scanning PITA experience at some point. I'm probably going to get the NEW Tangem - I just go the Tangem classic a month ago.. of course..
The D'Cent Biometric I did a video about seems pretty good too, but its $139. The new tangem 3 pack is $65 or $69.
One of the things to definitely check is what cryptos a wallet supports and compare that to your portfolio.
As far as tips for the safepal s1, make sure you're squared up on it when taking pictures of the dynamic QR codes.. make sure there is no glare. Can also stop the QR from switching and just scan 1 of 3, then 2 of 3, then 3 of 3, etc.. Even then it's a PITA though in my experience.

That happens in the companion app display sometimes, but the coins never move. Just refresh and they come right back.

refreshing takes some time and it doesn't work all the time, when I go to move the coins it says not enough funds, seems it doesn't matter what is on the blockchain its the wallet that decides how much funds you have, support could not help me they had no idea what I was talking about??? I just waited and waited till it reappeared then immediately moved my coins, It was the same thing with ellipal this is a night mare why does this happen? I have my coins in a different wallet and so far absolutely no issues. can't trust SAFEPAL their name is SAFEPAL not very safe if things keep disappearing!! @@Coinopoly
