"To dizzying heights its rises, the gleaming spire, its tip threatening to pierce the blinding canopy. There it will all begin anew, Between dark and light, the pure and the corrupt, the one true struggle."
God this really brings me back to early access for Shadowbringers, waking up super early, getting to the Crystal Tower and saying goodbye to Tataru... Then this blinding Light in your face, an unfamiliar place... The piano really set the mood for the whole expansion and I finally found it after all this time. Thank you for this.
I really like that the "Stand tall, my friend" part is not in here in this track. Give a completly other feeling. Feels like there is no hope or no future for this world left. The "Everlasting Light" tracks are so underrated, damn.
It is incredible, how well that story shift worked. From anime-esque road trip over the world in Stormblood, to interexpansion devastating war, loss of friends to unknown illness and absolute despair and finally to Shadowbringers itself - hopeless apocalyptic horror where terror comes from the Light you were fighting for and terrifying angels in different forms raining their judgement upon every living being. I doubt that anything in FF at this point can top Shadowbringers. The writing, the ideas, the design and the atmosphere... Pure art.
Yes. That is all 😁 I can't believe I'm saying this but 14 might have become my favorite FF because they decided to play with our sense of justice like they did ⚖️
Literally this whole sequence had me utterly captivated. I was literally just so fuckin taken in by the entire intro to "The First". and as soon as this music hit it fucking tranquilized me, it's so solemn and eerie. I love it so much. (I'm just sad that some stuff in the early plot *REALLY* threw me off so I have to take a break and dont know when I'll feel ok to return)
I cannot listen to this song without crying now. It opened and ended my Shadowbringers journey and I miss my time in that part of the game so very much. That time of the game when Shadowbrigers was still fresh to me was without a doubt the best time I have ever spent in the game. I loved every minute of my SHadowbringers journey. Endwalker has been a really sour experience for me and all the while at the back of my mind I was telling myself, to push on. I told myself once I'm done with Endwalker, I'll be free to go back and redo all of it! The Crystal Tower, The Warriors of Darkness plotline, the Shadowbringers build up from SB! All the pieces that led to Shadowbringers I will redo them! I will come back to my character's home.
I feel the same. The only part of EW that really hit the same ShB did for me was the entire Garlemald section. It was the crystallization of Humanity, a parallel of the Crystarium, people simply fighting to survive...

*cue Shadowbringers title drop*

its weird but sometimes i really miss the scenery when light still intimidating
Shadowbringers has the best atmosphere ever in a game, the everlasting light feels like such a threat. Such a unique game
I hear you, but dang that light kinda hurt my eyes after a while lol
@@ArtificialVik same, i had to use glasses for this lol

"If you mean to face him alone, I will not allow it. Not this time." 😢
This. This is the version I've been searching for. The rumbling of the piano really sets the ominous finality.
Man, that intro was one of the best intros to something I've ever experienced
*spoilers for 5.3*
when they reprise this for coming conflict against Elidibus and add the vocals for Tomorrow and Tomorrow... it hits so hard.
One of the most memorable scene , staging was so good.

What a magical moment in the story!
Wish this was on the soundtrack!
This is how you bring a good ass theme.
I love when this showed up in Endwalker briefly.
I've been looking for this, and I've found it! 😍😍😍😍
Would you call this our "invisible" song?
Just wondering if there are any ingame rolls for this which I doubt, but I'd love to have one.
No rollerinos, not in the original soundtrack release either
indeed, not even in the ew soundtrack this version of the song exists
