    Why do people only remember the great hitters who used? They forget that pitchers also used and they forget that mediocre players were using too. Some people (like Bonds, and some others) started using after they saw that MLB was looking the other way for years and they were suddenly getting equaled or outperformed by lesser players.

    All of that is aside from the fact that not only did he have HOF numbers BEFORE he got to SF, they weren't just hitting stats. He's a multiple gold gloves winner. 7 time MVP, 14 time All Star, has a sizeable amount of steals and has 1000 more walks than whoever is in second place in the record book.

    If one of the greatest hitters/players to play the game doesn’t make the hall of fame, then the hall of fame is a joke. When few players were juicing, he was a multi-MVP. When almost everyone was juicing (including pitchers), he was a multi-MVP. Most dominant hitter since Babe Ruth, plus he played D and stole bases. Hall of Famer 100%.

    He gets in, no matter how much those PED-years tainted the latter part of his MLB career. Seasons he had all the way up to 1998 (last time he was reportedly clean) make him an automatic 1st-ballot candidate. Would've gotten to the 500 HR/500 SB mark anyway without the "BALCO-assistance" (lol).

    Barry could've taken roids in a pirates uniform. But roids DO NOT GIVE YOU HAND EYE COORDINATION, Barry was born with that talent, sosa, McGuire, there was a lot of great hitters. Look back at what they did for the game, they were heroes and mlb allowed it until the cba. Long live the king homerun champion BARRY BONDS

    I WANT bonds in the HOF. The problem is that it would cause a lot of commotion and every single juicer with great stats would need to be let in, including Mcgwire, Sosa, Canseco, ect..

    • @ericgarcia3640

      Darkkefka he was as good as those clean as they were juiced

    • @michaelrousey7418
      @michaelrousey7418 6 лет назад +2

      Darkkefka the only thing with that is Barry Bonds never failed a steroid test and he said he never knowingly took steroids so we don't even know if he did even though it's a possibility he did but still it's not proven so he should definitely be in. Maybe the people that got busted for steroids like Jose Canseco that admittedly took him his whole career. People like that shouldn't be let in even though I like Canseco. Everyone make such a big deal about these steroids like they're the worst people alive but I tell you what if I was in the big leagues and was trying to get a contract I tell you what I would definitely have taken steroids. The only thing sad is if Barry Bonds did take steroids that he was a great player before he took steroids and would have made the Hall of Fame already just like Mark McGwire. So my opinion is any person even if they were suspected of taking steroids if it's not proven or admitted then they should be in the Hall of Fame if they're voted in. That's just my opinion

    He had the best vision of any player to play the game. He could get the bat on any ball in the zone. Whether a nasty curve or a 100+ fastball he wouldn’t miss it. Steroids may have given him a bit extra power. But they didn’t give him that amazing vision. Also, let anyone else take steroids. And they still won’t hit more home runs than he did. Steroids may have played a part. But no one has been as good as him

    Bonds and McGwire should be at least in the ballot but Sammy Sosa? No way. Where was he before June 1998 when he hit 20 homeruns in a month? He wasn’t a future HOF SLUGGER before and then at AGE 30 joins the race. McGwire held the record for rookie HR record for 30 years. He also hit 30 or more the first four years. First player to do that. Skinny Bonds could hit opposite home runs. He was consistent and if he was clean still could have hit 500 HRs. But Sosa? Where was he in 1997? I remember more of his throwing arm than his bat. Obviously suspicious. Corked bat or PED.

    If Barry had just stayed clean he'd be a shoe in. But we have to have some standards. If Griffey lost so many years off his career because he wanted to remain clean. Then it'd be unfair to him and so many other guys like Don Mattingly too to just let the confirmed steroid takers in.

  • @richardhickman1422

    Absolutely his stats say it for themselves. So what if he used steroids half of the league at the time used it. So your telling me A-Rod isn’t a hall of famer or Albert Pujols they both used steroids.
