The hardest working most talented baseball player EVER! Only Ken Griffey Jr. comes close to his talent. Barry worked on techniques that ONLY he knew existed. He developed the hitting techniques on his own. His swings against lefties were unique. He dominated lefties and righties and that comes from specific drills that he developed at home. It's too bad he won't ever divulge his hitting secrets because they are gold. I know! I used to do the same thing for more than 20 years. Barry is the GREATEST hitter, ever!
I'm not a Giants fan. I'm a hardcore baseball fan. My avatar is modeled after Barry. He was featured on Sports Illustrated cover in the 90's. It was titled, "I'm Barry Bonds and You're not."

Maybe because I am an introvert myself and I don't like attention. I have always loved Barry Bonds and how played the game. He always went out and just got it done he wasn't worried about winning a popularity contest. The most talented person I have ever seen play the game. In a tainted era the fact this man was walked 232 times at the age of 39 in unreal. With his plate discipline if he played today he would torching these clowns who feel like hitting .230 with 200 strikeouts is ok. Its amazing how baseball has changed.

The thing about Barry Bonds I most vividly recall was his consistent beating of his wife. Sure, his teammates hated him, but what do they know? He had every right to not flush the crapper in the clubhouse. He was Barry Bonds! Once he left the team, they exalted and started winning World Series. His hitting more home runs the older he got was unique too. Still seeking the name of one player who thnks he didn't shoot up. One player. One.

Barry Bonds, plain and simple, was a CHOKER! When Barry Bonds played for the Pirates during the early 1990's, he obviously had MVP stats during the regular season, but, when it came time to demonstrate that talent in the playoffs he would go AWOL! The truest measure of greatness for any professional athlete in his chosen sport is "how did he perform when the stakes were at their highest"! Unfortunately, Barry Bonds would 'shrivel up and die' during the Post Season when his team needed him the most! For that very reason, he'll forever be labeled a "CHOKER" in the eyes of many Pirate fans!

Biggest draw ever in San Francisco, no one drew more people into that city during his time playing there. Not to mention tv views of his games across the world. More than just most feared hitter. I think we finally understand now just how much he did for baseball and a way of life for so many. Writers you need to vote him and others in now for it’s puts you on the understanding it’s only right by what you see in this whole video. 7 mvps, bloodline, 14 time all star, 8 time gold glover, 12 silver sluggers, 232 BBs in one season ,120 IBBs, the yr he hit 73 he also hit .328 wow, pitchers by avoiding him with base on balls made him more focused for the loss of times to hit. Coaches saying “what have we got to loose ,walk him and he can’t hurt us. Gave writers something to write about because of his achievements and you probably won some awards because of his legend story. $$$. Barry brought baseball back up when it was down and gave many a reason to cheer about it. Most believe he is the greatest all around player of all time.

Hank Aaron was never considered the best player in the league because Willie Mays was still playing. BTW Willie missed nearly two years due to the Korean conflict and in all likelihood would have broken Ruths career record despite playing the majority of his games in a yard not exactly conducive to home runs.
Bonds is to Hank Aaron as Hank Aaron is to someone like Brooks Robinson
      he's that much better
