    What is it like playing for a team when you are a loyal fan to another?

    • @michaelr.4878
      @michaelr.4878 6 лет назад +20

      Very good question. I have often wondered about that. As a Habs fan as a kid, I constantly wondered what it would be like if I was ever drafted to the Toronto Maple Leafs. haha. Would I have hated it? Or would I have just loved being able to play in the NHL? Well, I didn't get drafted. So I didn't have to face that situation. haha I am sure that we all have stories like this.
      ..ex. Yankee fans getting drafted by the Red Sox....hahaha I'm sure that it kills some guys. Although, the money would help sooth the pain.

      What's it like to work at Pepsi when you drink Coca Cola? What's it like to shop at Publix and work at Wal-Mart? Probably similar. If you're getting paid to work, you work. It doesn't matter if you were a fan of a different team growing up.

      With that said i was a pretty good ball player. Played in college and made it to a ball. But it ended there. You have to be AMAZING @ baseball to make it to the bigs. Ppl have no idea how good you have to be its almost not even possible. So respect to him.

    I think that College Baseball game was MVP 06 NCAA Baseball. EA lost the rights to the MLB/MILB to 2k for 3rd party games (Sony started making MLB The Show around the same time, but they're first party). I had that game because I was a big fan of MVP Baseball back then.

  • @sputnikua
    @sputnikua 6 лет назад

    You mentioned that you were in the college baseball video game. MVP Baseball 06 was the name and it's a really great game actually. A couple of years ago the maker of that game (EA Sports) paid a big settlement to all the players that were in the NCAA Football video games for using their likeness. You may not know the answer but I wonder if that applied to their college baseball and basketball games as well?

      KuckFyle I don’t know how many, but it’s common for a lot of guys to blow most or all of it. There are a few different guys around where I live that played in the NFL, and all of them are more broke now than before they went pro.
      This kind of includes a buddy of mine from high school. He’s not broke but after 3 years in the NFL, he basically has none of that money. But he’s a hard worker and doing well because of hard work after the pros. I’ve heard states that say most pro athletes are broke or literally bankrupt in less than 10 years after.

    You should do a video of you playing video games on the Padres, it would be pretty funny.

      Get the year that you were in the bigs so you can play as yourself against like the dodgers or something that would be super funny. Get a hit off Maddux again hahaha

    I have a question for you. I’m a catcher and my coach always tells me I need to come over the top on my throws but it looks like some mlb catchers go about 3/4s like I tend to do. Is this okay? How could I fix it if it needs it?

    • @AntonelliBaseball
      @AntonelliBaseball  6 лет назад

      I think it’s fine. Just want to keep fingers behind the ball to keep it straight. Good luck!!!

    If you’re interested in losing games, you can put Me in the starting lineup Hahahah this guy is so cool and funny. He talks about himself like he’s a nobody. He played MLB and he’s so humble. In My mind, if you get paid even 1 dollar to play baseball, you’re awesome. To make it to the pros is beyond sick.

    Kind of a personal note. I noticed the St Louis Cardinals had a John Antonelli that played in 1945-46. Any relationship?

    I still have MLB 09 the Show, and I played the crap out of that game. I wonder if that's why your name sounded so familiar to me.

    I think it has to do with being part of the MLPAA Matt- like you're a part of that group and they do license deals on player's behalf.

    4:15 3D scaling, they still use that technology today, maybe a fee tweaks here and there but it's the same process, plus the motion capture were they put you in a black suit with these balls stuck on to it and you do your fielding, batting ect and the computer captures your motions and place then in the game. Most of that goes for star players though maybe in today's age, they might motion capture most of the MLB players for the game.
