I have the same problem Johnny. There’s home with that locking ring and then there’s HOME. I’ve always put those on with a screwdriver and a hammer, lessons learned the last time I did it I thought it was home and it was not. It had another quarter turn left in it. It is never leaked cents, but it was very hard to put on all the way. I had to use the sending unit tool. I’m not sure this is a new issue, but I’ve always been able to put those on with the screwdriver but not this time. Not sure if this helps but great video Johnny.
Thanks Max. I always appreciate the kind comments. Me too, I always used a screwdriver and hammer. I just could not get a big enough swing in the cause the housing was so close. And I didn’t realize I wasn’t turning it all the way. I need to buy one of those tools. If I had one it probably would have worked a lot better. But at least I know what to look for now.
Hey Jonny, great walk through on the leaking fuel tank issue. One question was when you pulled out the fuel pick up I noticed it was missing the sock. (see the 3:08 mark) If you ever pull it again, I'd recommend running one. Are you going to try and race with the 2.76 open rear?
What’s up Brother? Yeah, I noticed it was missing. I have a filter up in the engine bay so not too worried about it. And yes, whenever we kick off this competition I’m gonna run the 2.76’s. I expect it to slow down outta the gate but I’m curious by how much. We’ll see.
You know the answer is yes I know about the leak.... And the lock rings that come with most new tanks is not thick enough never throw away your old one got a drawer full lol😂😂... The new seal ain't that hot either.. Mopar on Jonny.
Are you asking what the stall is in the convertor? It does have one, I think it’s probably around 2200-2500. If you’re asking something else, I don’t think it does.

Brother, I was cussing for you, as it was splashing all over. Don't know how you kept calm. Good on you.
lol. Thanks Man. Yeah, I had a couple of surprises there but panicking never helps. I just deal with it as it comes. It all worked out in the end.

I shoulda brought that up. One of the phases of a leak was using a ring that was too thin.
👍👍👍
Isn't there a stall converter in Dorothy?
