Orange Trees at Sunset in Valencia 🍊 Solo Travel Vignette

Amongst the orange blossoms in Valencia, Spain 🍊 here the streets are alive with oranges and lemons, and endless rows of olive, fig and almond trees fill the valleys. Ahead of Earth Day, I've been reflecting on nature, on how good it feels to be barefoot in the earth with warm sun kissing the skin, in a place where greenery and life is so deeply nurtured. What a privilege it is to exist in a world full of colour and beauty. What a privilege it is to breathe clean air and pluck fresh, ripe fruits from the plants around us.
It kinda scares me that all the articles about climate scientists giving the public their last warnings are continually pushed to the bottom of the news chain, but here’s hoping that humanity and our governments will finally rally together to protect the one thing we all have in common: our planet.
My favourite way of honouring the Earth is by inspiring others to visit or appreciate different places and share things I've learned about different communities or cultures. Because if we all stay in our bubbles, swept up in the humdrum of daily routine or the hamster wheel of city life, then it’s easy to forget that there’s a whole world out there - and that we need to protect it.
