Really? Everything about it pulled me out of the film entirely, especially the uncontrollable stupidity of Nic Cage's worst acting ever. The only emotion it ever made me feel was confusion about how a bunch of supposed professionals allowed something that bad to actually end up in the final cut.

And props for briging up "Layer Cake", an underappreciated feature of Vaugns about a man trying to get out of his line of work and finding out people fucking up or self-interested around him makes that...hard. And it is an impressive visual spectacle with a bunch of then up-and-coming british talent we well know today like Tom Hardy and Burn Gorman and Sally Hawkins.
Burn is American, isn’t he? I mostly know him from Torchwood. I think he was the Archnemesis in Forever, but that audience left by the time of his reveal.
