  • I feel a negative review but i really like the rules set mechanics, just not the waves and single scenario in a way i wonder if understood and complied with the books back blurb the core game used an action dice pool with multiple dice types it's fast and bloody tiered enermies flexible classes and quick combat ....the narrative systems adds a fresh dimesion to the core minature experiance where the promise of different foes and new story lines encorages long tearm play
so i go that i added the narrative but i feel not by the way it was written... still think multi objective scenarios is the way to go

Thanks for the review. Personally, I've found that Todoroff's books feel like they need more time in development and editing. I can totally see some of the ideas from When Nightmares Come ported into other games but I was, overall, a bit disappointed when I got my pre-order copy. And I really like your ideas for multi-objective scenarios...I would definitely buy that book if someone wrote it. Like you it seems, I tend to collect more rulebooks than I play. Cheers!

Really appreciated the video and your very nuanced thoughts on the game, its limitations in its current state, and its potential. I am interested in the game and will pick it up at some point despite it not being as fully realized as I was hoping. I am like you, in that I collect miniature game rules even for games I might not ever play (especially anything that is coop/solo). I am interested in seeing how each designer(s) approach situations and how the rules foster the games narrative. I am looking for me own grail game, which I never find, but see each game as way of expanding my toolbox. Looking forward to your future videos, especially any custom scenarios you design.
