- First track and second track of Status Quo's Quo album. Both songs here are great, especially "Just Take Me." The transition between the two is great as well!
Audio was recorded from the original LP on Vertigo Records.
Pure brilliance
Still have this awesome album from 1974. Bought it in the summer of 1975.
R.I.P. Richard Parfitt
R.I.P. Alan Lancaster.
Wonderful band in the 70´ties. Lizzy and Quo late that decade was amazing at stage.
Now that's the raw sound of Quo I remember.
Lancaster/Parfitt
Yeeeees
and that my friends is why i fell in love with the QUO
Quality, no nonsense, pure good rock...
The first album I bought of quo in a used record shop about two years ago when i was 15. Now one of my favorite bands, especially to crank on the old 1985 bose 601 series 2 speakers. I especially like their albums before this one, after 1976 they kinda fell off a bit, but still an amazing band. My favorite era of them is 1970-1975
SQ is in my soul forever.
At their absolute best!
Lancaster/Parfitt wrote this and most of the QUO album.
Much better than the lightweight songs by Rossi/Frost in later years.
Coghlan/Lancaster and Parfitt had to absorb and tolerate a lot of Rossi's ideas and the direction he was taking the band.
It was Cocaine that destroyed The Frantic Four and Rossi's meglomania.
I love Coghlan/Lancaster and Parfitt.
RIP Alan
brought this album in 1974 still sounds as good today. Much better than most of the crap that the younger generation listen now days
I'm almost 60 and Quo was my band of choice growing up. Sadly for me, I think after the album, back to back they became too poppy for my liking. Still play all their old stuff, by far and away the best of Quo.
Yep, they changed early to mid 70s they were great, After they were like Chas and Dave with guitars.
I'm 61 now in the year 2023 I've been listening to status quo ever since I bought the single paper plane/softer ride back In 1976
Same age. Remember headbanging to them as a pup in Cardiff Capitol and breaking the chair I was jumping up and down on (sorry Capitol). This was one of their best creations.
@@DavidFraser007 Spot on David...saw them 4 times in the 70's. The drumming between the two tracks blew me away as a 14/15y.o. It may or may not be easy/hard, but what a sound. As for Chas and Dave.... yup! The only thing they have done of any note was open for Zeppelin at Knebworth. Sat in the crowd trying to dry out at Knebworth (2nd Saturday) listening to Rabbit at about 11.00 am if memory serves...it may have ben a lot later!! It's funny now... definitely wasn't then.
What a combination of sounds, every sense banging. Quo brilliance x
They are stunning tracks and yes. the mix between the two is awesome, some of the best Quo by a long shot! 1974.... strewth..!
In my opinion is this their best album. Alan Lancaster had a big influence on this one, helped by Parfitt. Rossi was busy making his first solo album and this is as heavy as Quo got, thanks to Alan and Rick. Love the Quo album and the cover.
First album I ever bought.
Great album (and cover). Love The Quo
Proper rock and roll up the Quo 💚☘️🇮🇪
Yep brilliant, the kind of music that is missing today. Thank you for uploading.
QVO My first Status Qvo LP. Love at first hearing
Proper Quo
One of quos best
Merci. Lonely man . Aussi. Grd titre. Thx
8 track very good hard rock, boogie rockn roll album here and hello they started of with d tunings, bb tuning and in 1975 vs the great g tuning. Notice that Rick and Francis keept it tight togheter, different tunings, great arrangements, with their nuff, spud rythm section they were the best of the best, pure music from pure musicians. Thanks
Wow
merci beaucoup pour ces souvenirs
I’m the only kid that listens to this lol
Thank you :D
Rossi was the weakest link at the Reunion gigs, he stuffed up quite a few guitar parts.
Ironically, the man with the debilitating illness was the strongest and best performer at the Reunion gigs.
Lancaster's vocals were strong.
Nuff is the 'man'
I love Lancaster.
...and Rossi brought back this fantasic solo on the FF reunion tour! Never understood why he destroyed all the great solos in the "current SQ" line up - over and over and over bended solos....yes, it's easier to play - but the spirit of these magic songs was gone....over and out!
Rossi doesn't care about the legacy of QUO or the legions of true fans, only cares about his name and the money he can make from the QUO name.
A lot of true fans call his version QUO Cabaret, which isn't far off.
He is my least fave member of QUO.

There are other members that I love and respect as well, though because of his divisive actions and behaviour towards Spud and Nuff, sadly, Rossi is my least loved member.
May the best. ????
15 ans en conçert génial me suis trompé 16 ans en 75 lol

Different mix with much more going on in the intro background to my ears?
Sur la photo, les titres correspondent, mais le dessin est plus de "Rockin' all over the world"
The dirtiest guitar sound ever !!!!
