The sudden change of tone, the heartbreaking voice that sounds almost like a child's. It gets me every time.
The most beautiful thing about such a difficult lyrics is that you can assign any meaning to the song and the melody. It can convey everything you feel at the moment.
This and fourth of July are my favorite sad songs by him. These are amazing. Whoever said permanent goosebumps is right. I get the shivers.

Listening to this album since it was released I came late to this track - others kinda struck me more immediately and as is our wont we listen and relisten, but just recently this one has crept up on me and I just can't get over how utterly beautiful it is - magnificent x
