Thank you for sharing Brandon, that was beautiful. It's incredible how someone else's family videos can feel so familiar and instill such a strong sense of nostalgia. This video made me realise how quickly life is passing and how little I've been thinking about my family and the past recently. So before I get even more soppy and well up, I'm going to call my parents.
It’s 2020, long after you posted this, Brandon. Though I was 20 and in university at the time these films were made, they timelessly evoke such memories and feelings from childhood. I cried thru the whole song. There’s Covid virus now attacking the entire world. So poignant to recall our innocence! Thank you so much! I finally got to cry over life’s strange journey. 🌈💜
I remember finding this video a few years ago. I remember getting emotional by it. I decided to return a few years later and I find myself getting emotional but for different reasons. Isn’t it crazy how quickly life changes? Your family seems very close and loving. It reminds me of my own family, which is probably why I’m getting so choked up. We have to cherish our loved ones while they’re still here and keep their memories alive when they’re not
thanx for making this video brandon. Quite fitting with the song and album actually. Also, this is song is... scrumtrulescent... no other word is good enough really.
Great job, Brandon. A beautiful video that really nails the essence of the tune. I watched this a few weeks ago and came back to it now, I had no idea this wasn't the official clip.
I just stumbled across this, and found that you’ve made such a similar video to mine, almost 2 years before I did! I made a very visually similar video for Fourth of July back in January, it’s on my channel. Goes to show the precise effect Sufjan has on people.
Great attempt by putting up such a nice video! A revisit to the past - your grandparents' and probably your parents' memory! Good job! By the way, this is really a great song that keeps me listening to it for many times a day!
Emily Elizabeth Kelm , actually there are two thumbs down now in 2020 as I’m first seeing this. I’m guessing those two people couldn’t face the emotions this evoked...💜
WOW it made me cry, it's beautiful
So tender and fragile. Gosh Sufjan gets me at any moment of my life

Wow....what a moving song...really stopped me in my tracks.
I've got to pass this to a friend.
Really beautiful and sad.

Wonderful. The dancing at the end made my heart do stuff.
This was very well-made. Fantastic job matching some great footage with one of the best songs from Carrie & Lowell!
Asthmatic Kitty should pay you for this! The music matches perfectly with your family's video!

My new favorite song by Sufjan set to a hauntingly beautiful video. Great job.
