- Emine (follow @emmyne_) used to be one of Berlin's most notorious dancers in the underground hip-hop scene.
Grappling between multiple and seemingly disparate worlds, Emine recently hung up her dancing boots, I sit down and talk to her to find out why.

WHAT IS BENI? (www.beni.space)
BENI is a storytelling platform with the aim of turning social influence into substance, inspiration and adventure.
We find people whose story you don’t often hear, and collaborate with likeminded others from a variety of backgrounds. Our goal is to draw from our heritage but create a cultural space that is entirely new.
BENI is a movement.
This is honestly one of my favourite youtube channels with such a high quality content ❤️

Oh, this was soo good! The fusion of vlog and documentary is amazing - well done. Very well done. I think you might have found your thing. I'm excited to see more.
I'm pretty sure you are the first one to come up with such an idea like these vlogumentaries. I really enjoyed it! You're doing an amazing job doing what you are doing, Finding out the stories of people who are torn between two cultures and such. As a person like that, I can strongly relate. You and your work is in a way representing us, the people who's voices get shut down by our parents and culture and more. I know this channel is still in its very early stage but I am very proud to say that it is by far one of my favourite channels and I'm glad I got to be part of this journey of BENI.

Great content and great videos!! 💯💯💯💯
As a Pakistani born Canadian, this was emotional for me to watch. I wish I had some honest conversations with my parents instead of pleasing them and craving their approval I wish I had known how to make them understand the differences...its heart breaking when you hear your parents say things like "dont act like white people....I regret bringing you to this country" ...
Fatima A my dear ur parents dont wabt to loose you
Yess yess Yess exactly that!!! Love!

her English is very good, what is she talking about?!
There’s literally millions of Muslim girls/women who are fantastic dancers. Some of us go to clubs where we still dance. We enjoy ourselves, we share energy and then go home. The minute we stop demonising Muslim women enjoying ourselves we should have a big ‘Love Parade’ for everyone. We dance for ourselves not to objectify ourselves for others. A lot of men have 2 left feet and have no rhythm. They’re the ones who should stay home…
Music dance is not the part of islam why are u dancing
