    The 3rd transformer should step down from 480V to 208V and not 4.1KV to 208V. I do enjoy the video overall.

    In Power System Protection course we will cover the requirements needed to design protective devices and the applications of these devices through a schematic diagram. Furthermore, this course will analyze the effects of all types of faults in power system along with the easy hand on calculations. To develop your strong concept on fault analysis we will discuss how faults can be identified by analyzing waveforms. Lastly, you will learn the most tedious and complex theory of symmetrical components that are found in different types of faults. This module consists of six parts, each building upon your knowledge based on previous ones.Get 𝟗𝟎% 𝐎𝐅𝐅 on 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬: bit.ly/Power-System-Protection

      +Hussein Fahema Thanks! My intent was exactly that. In fact, I have come to find out that many facility engineers and technicians were never taught this stuff - which I believe is very important for themselves as well as their safety. So this an introduction. It explains "why" we coordinate. The next video, I hope to explain "how" we coordinate.

    Es importante conectar el cable del celular, primero en el equipo y despues en el tomacorriente. Esto prolonga la vida de la bateria porque no se expone directamente al hecho brusco de laincorporacion de la corriente. Cuando se hace la conexion de una carga en un tomacorriente se genera un pico de corriente que aunque es muy corto, afecta la bateria, Este pico de corriente se atenua y se pierde a travez de la longitud del cable cuando ya el equipo esta conectado a dicho cable

    • @Generalpac
      @Generalpac  5 лет назад

      Gracias por tu comentario. Sin embargo, no importa si conectamos el cable del teléfono celular primero en el equipo, luego en el tomacorriente o viceversa.

    Why disconnection time of upstream is lower than that of downstream

    • @Generalpac
      @Generalpac  8 месяцев назад

      Hello! For the coordination purpose the time of operation of downstream is faster than the time of operation of upstream device. If the coordination is not met such that the upstream breaker trips before the downstream breaker then it will hit the overall reliability of system.
      Hope you find it useful.

    I hope someone could answer my question.
    I have six generators (1 MVA each) supplying a system through two transformers 0.4/11 kv.
    I need to add two more generators (1 MVA each) through transformer 0.4/11 kv
    My question is do i need to change protection settings after adding thses two generators?

    • @Generalpac
      @Generalpac  2 года назад

      Hey Dawod,
      Yes, protection settings will be revised. As adding new generators will increase the current, the pickup setting will change as pickup depends directly on the current.
      If protection settings are not changed, then there is a high chance of false tripping during normal operation, affecting the reliability of the power system.
      Hope this clears your vision...
      Thanks,
