Okay so if I’m in a hurry I can just click reset in general setting and it deletes my pictures messages n apps right ? Instead of me going to my Apple I.D signing out
The reset button will also sign you out of iCloud. But sometimes if you connection isn’t the best it can fail which is why I recommend doing them in 2 separate steps.
Hello bro, I want to do something different, my iPad, which also belongs to my mother, is running out of space because of the updates. I would like to know how I can do a factory reset to free up space but put back her iCloud account on the ipad
First thing I would do is go into Setting app and then General in there should be an iPad Storage or just Storage option. This screen will tell you what is taking up the most space on the device. And gives you an easy way to remove unneeded apps. If photos is using up all the space there isn't much you can do other the moving them to another computer or device for backup and deleting them.
@@TheAppleBiasHonestly there is not much to save because we use Google Photos and the emails are still on other devices so no problem but I love using the iPad but I would like to know if I can free up space by setting it to factory settings but from there I can put back the old Apple ID
Yeah if you do the backup and restore from backup you won’t save much if any. If you don’t restore from backup you’d save some but risk losing some data from third party apps that don’t use a system to back data up outside of the device.
Is there any more info it gives you than code. It could be a 2 factor authentication code or a screen time code. Or maybe something else I’m not thinking about. 2factor should be solvable if you have another Apple device that’s logged into the same iCloud account. That code should pop up on it screen time if you go into settings app and then screen time there is a place in there to try and turn it off. Sometimes you can use your iCloud account info to turn it off.
I have not used my old IPAD in 4 years but I am finally selling it. Will erasing old IPAD interfere with my new IPAD because we use it to run our business. That’s my biggest fear…….TIA
Hello iv followed all the following steps but once it reboots and resets its still has my photos and apps. Is there something im missing to get the factory reset to the “hello”page
Confused. If you follow the reset and hit the erase all content and settings there is no way it would come back with your data on it unless your setting it back up
Not sure what you mean by that. But the if you follow the video and go into the settings app then general scroll down to Transfer or Reset and select Erase all Content and Setting and follow that process it will remove everything on your device.
Fantastic video! Thank you for simplifying this process. Now I can trade in my iPad with a sense of security.
Glad to hear the video was helpful. Hopefully you get a good amount on the trade!
this is a life saver ... thank you!
Happy to have helped.

Would backing up thee iPad in any way replace or interfere with iPhone backup? It makes me nervous to back it up to same Apple ID...
Nope not at all they are stored separately. They do take up some iCloud storage space. So keep that in mind if your plan gets too full.
@@TheAppleBias thank you!! 💯
@xKarenWalkerx happy to help!
Can I restore app on cyber
Not sure what you mean by that.

the icloud account that was always my mom's ipad

basically put it back to factory settings and put your apple id back because there are old updates that take up space

I just want to know how to delete all the content, you give me headaches
If i reset my ipad will i lose all my account's?
Nope it just removes you account and any data on that iPad that’s not backed up. That’s why in the video I do the backup before the reset.
When I try to erase the data it asks me for a code I don’t know or have? It’s been years how do I bypass that?

Erase the old one won’t affect the new one at all.
