I would think it hurts a channel with an upload frequency like Clickspring's, where he goes months without uploading a video and even if you've binge watched all of his videos, after a few months the promotion algorithm "forgets" that you like them. On the other hand, if he uploaded weekly (impossible) then his videos wouldn't feel as special and I'd watch only the interesting ones. That would be more like Alex Steele...
Yonatan24 That might be true, but Clickspring obviously doesn’t make his living from content the way that Ramsey, Wandel, Heisz, Bates, et al do, so what does it matter?
@@matthiaswandel Well, whatever u upload Matthias I pretty much click on it ,,, its just something about u being an extremely cool guy who knows and demonstrate woodworking and engineering to my liking (goes for Ramsey, Heisz, Bates et al too)
Steve, you seem to have an inside scoop ok RUclips. Would you be able to elaborate on what being a pro-creator is really like? Rumor has it creators are not allowed to talk about the income they make from RUclips. Is that true?
I use the subscriptions page almost exclusively to watch videos as well. Probably one of the reasons why it took me a while to understand why people had to click on the bell icon to be notified. I don't really care about videos being posted regularly either, as I already have too much content to watch in my spare time and so I usually have a backlog to choose from.
Same here. I have never enabled notification for any of the channels that I subscribe to. I don't want RUclips filling up my inbox or however else it sends notifications.
Exactly. I don't want a notification. I've already subscribed, and when I'm ready to watch, anything new will be waiting for me there on my Subscriptions page. It's the only one I visit the vast majority of the time, and the only one I have bookmarked.
Actually, I always looked forward to fridays for your new videos, but it's not like I'd become less interested in your stuff now that you dropped the weekly schedule. Your priorities are clear, understandable, and you owe us nothing. Post as you will, I'll be grateful anyway.
You, John and Frank H. are the most genuine not-sellout channels in my feed. I watch all your videos because over the years I learned, I get something out of each and every one of them. So it really doesn't matter how many videos you put out. I didn't even notice that you had a weekly schedule.
I watch pretty much no matter what. When I watch what you or John produce, it’s not because I have any intention of building a bandsaw or a miter saw station. I watch because I’m intrigued how you two think around problems and solve challenging situations, it doesn’t come naturally to everyone. I work in a high stress medical field, absconding to my workshop is pure escapism for me. Your channel helps greatly
I have always felt that your content, via whichever medium, continued to be successful because you did what you thought to be interesting and/or useful. It's an exercise to consider what others (and the RUclips engine) might be motivated by, but one can never know and quality will probably decline trying to second guess it. And I should add I am grateful for all the content I have consumed over the years - thank you!
Matthias and John, I watch everything you guys put out. Several of those videos I have watched multiple times. I was never co concerned with regular schedules as much as watching every single video you produce. I get inspired by seeing someone tackle a task differently than I would have thought to. Thanks for putting anything on at all. No one forced you to. It's fantastic that you share anything at all.
Matthias, I’m glad to ha able to view your videos. I’ve caught myself goi g back and rewatching a gem or two. Honestly it’s your schedule. Just happy to see that you are still doing awesome stuff. I’ve learnd a whole lot from your content. I still over engineer things. But I’ve acquired a taste for thin ply mock ups. Thank you.
Fair enough. Your life changes, and you tube changes, and it's okay for you to be flexible and adapt to changing conditions. Most of us who view your work are happy enough (curmudgeon commenters aside) that you are both able to produce new content, and willing to make an honest appraisal of the you tube environment... Not that you needed my approval, but you have it. I'd rather that you have less stress in your life!
Been watching your videos for a while now and you've inspired me to get back into woodworking. I was updating two blogs on unrelated topics weekly and started doing weekly vlogs on a second channel to go with the articles. I found that the blog that covered the same topic went down in quality quite dramatically as I was spending more time filming and less time working on the projects and taking the original style of still images.
Try as I did, every week just hasn’t worked out for me either. As a fan of both the you and John it doesn’t matter when videos come out, I’m going to keep watching.
I almost exclusively use the subscriptions page, and the suggested videos on the actual videos. If I want to learn about something or see other stuff I search for it directly, not usually interested in whats trending....
I started publishing my videos every Friday morning at 6 am about 2 and a half years ago. I haven’t missed a Friday since I started. The intention was to draw the attention of the all knowing algorithmic eye to my channel (where I’m building a house from tree I cut and mill myself). I did not find that this made any difference to speak of as far as sub count and view count per video. It’s been slow but steady growth. But has taken years to get one video into the suggested side bar. I don’t think a content producer is rewarded as much any more as they once we’re for consistency like this.
Good to hear a counterargument against the "if you don't publish regularly, don't publish at all" mentality. Lots of RUclips experts assume that we're all trying to become the next Casey Neistat, when there are plenty of different ways to define success on this platform. Nothing wrong with embracing a plan that values your health and family.
Only a complete no nothing idiot would claim to be an expert and say; "if you don't publish regularly, don't publish at all". Vlog boss Amy Landino, Sean Cannell and Benji Travis of Video Influencers, Sunny Lenarduzzi, and Pat Flynn, solid experts, never say that. They always encourage people to get started and be consistent, but never tell people to not publish. Also, you will never hear Casey Neistat make that statement. If anything, he is more likely to make a video expressing his anger and denouncing nonsense like that. Don't watch videos where people tell you to not publish content at all. Look for real experts such as the ones I mentioned above.
Well it will be interesting to see what you find out. Haven't heard much on reddit or elsewhere about the YT algorithm lately, so my gut is that they still are rewarding frequency of upload. But a large subscriber base is probably still a big bonus!! Hope your arm keeps healing up.
Part of the reason you aren't hearing much insight is that nobody *truly* understands exactly what the algorithm is doing. There's lots of speculation, and lots of educated guesses, but formost of those, there are counterexamples where youtube has reacted differently than predicted. Most of the complaints I see recently surround channels getting strikes for violations where the creator doesn't think they have done anything wrong.
I've been loving your videos and website for years. Frequency isn't that important if your looking for good content. Its sad to see the RUclips machine can be so stressful for those on here between content and sponsorships. I'll be watching whatever you, Heisz, Swan and Howarth put out. You're all great inspiration.
Most channel I watch it doesn't matter so much when they publish. But I watch bossoftheswamp every Sunday. My self I tried hard last year to get a video out every week but I couldn't manage that. This year I'm once again among for that and I have made some changes in my work flow to be able to manage RUclips, a full time job and not neglecting my family time with my wife and 2 kids everyday. Have an awesome week, Andreas from Off Grid Sweden 🇸🇪
I also cannot do every week. Ultimately that just gets the quality down and the subscribers spend more time watching worse content and I could not be proud about of my videos either. So I just publish whenever I am ready.
I follow loads of creators, whenever they post a video it pops up in my subscriptions list, then I watch it when I have time. I don’t care when they post or if it’s regular or not. Do your thing, don’t feel pressured, love your creations.
I'm right there with you on not knowing which channels publish when (Just heard Mark Rober posts monthly, who knew!?) and watch videos as they come out via sub page. Example being, I didn't know this was on HWP until you mentioned it, just figured it was you talking, which I always enjoy. I only use the notification bell for channels that live stream, as to not miss them.
Matthias, I use the subscription list method for my viewing, and as others have said, with my bountiful list I have to hope my stable of producers give themselves the odd break in their scheduling so that I have a hope of keeping up. Way too much good stuff coming from way too many good sources.
I am glad to view what you and other people have to offer on whatever schedule you are comfortable with. If there is nothing to watch on RUclips right now, I have other interesting things to do, because I have a life. OK, a failed life, but I also have a house...that is falling apart. But I digress.
I notice that prolific RUclips creators are always keen on the idea of the suggested videos reaching their subscribers, and quite honestly, I have never clicked the bell to get notifications. I do not even have notifications set on my phone for anything. I look at it as it is supposed to be convenient for ME. I have always found it more than satisfactory to go to my subscriptions and just look at whatever new video is out by the people that I am subscribed to. I may or may not watch certain videos because either it’s late and I want to go to bed or I am busy or, if the title and content don’t strike my interest that strongly. I know that it’s important to a creator, and I was a creator too for a while, but like you said, it can be quite taxing and time consuming to create, and that also translates backward to us viewers, because we also are busy or taxed for time or stress etc. Ultimately, it falls back to the convenience factor. RUclips is my primary entertainment outlet and I always will stay subscribed to you, or John and watch everything, eventually. But don’t feel that you must produce constantly, because we all know you have little ones and a new house to put together and deal with. We understand and appreciate whatever you can share!
Matthias it seems you are in a transitional stage where you are looking for a new rhythm considering your family and goals. I hope you get to a point where you achieve a new balance that you are happy with. Your personality and approach are unique and I believe that whatever you do your true fan base will remain loyal and engaged. I am looking forward to whatever change you are willing to make. Keep it up!
I think it cones back to tv programming that people expect a show to be on each week with a new episode. Tb shows have a large staff though so the expectation does not translate to youtube and therefore a single producer as easily as people may think
Matthias, I began watching your videos because they appealed to me. You built things I thought I might try building or gave me enjoyment watching you develop something from nothing. I never thought there was any schedule for these videos. When I first began watching You Tube videos I thought are many people that want show viewers things they have built with explanations so those watching might build their own version. It took me a while to realize that some, not all, those presenting videos were doing so for some sort of compensation. Your videos are one of the 10 or so that I began watching on a regular basis. You Tube became my entertainment replacing television. It is my sincere hope that those people's videos I watch are making the videos because they are fun to make and that the makers are not under any stress, or pressure to produce. They make videos when they have time. Viewers are watching and providing no compensation to the makers. Their negative opinions to the makers is out of line. Thanks for all that you do.
yeah me too, I did a challenge last year to post weekend through the late summer until the end of the year. I also have a baby and it was pretty difficult, and I didn't really see that the videos produced did that much better than before. Of course overall there were a lot more views because there were more videos, but not each one. So now in 2019, they'll come when the come :)
Dear metthias i like your working style beside a good woodworker you are also a good engineer too metthias i want to draw your attention to a very interesting thing "cubrick cabinet" can you explain how it rotates and open or close in opposite direction?
Don't sweat it! I only have my youtube subscriptions page bookmarked, and that's where I see the vast majority of my youtube content. There are only a few people whose youtube schedule I know, and that's because it's right in the name of the channel: DoubleBoost's Sunday Night Nightcap, Abom79's Saturday Night Special, and Oxtool's Monday Night Meatloaf. Plus that seems to be thing in the machinist's corner of youtube.
If I am not mistaken, you used to publish your videos on Friday. The first thing I would do when arriving home after engineering school was watching your videos. It was really nice but you have to do what is best for you!
From a science oriented approach, it actually makes more sense to have an irregular upload schedule due to the intermittent reinforcement mechanism. Specially if you want people to go into your website, that is the best way to go about it, in RUclips it doesn’t matter as much, but I’m sure the principle still applies.
Just like you, family and life has priority over certain things. I don't watch RUclips videos on a consistent basis either, but enjoy whenever you have a new video reguardless the topic or what the subject is.
Not that I have the subs that you have. I have found that if I miss a longer period of about 3 weeks people ask where am I (when I am on vacation sometimes). But otherwise no one has ever complained. I don't always publish on the same day and no one has ever mentioned that either.
It's frustrating to want to remain relevant but sacrifice quality in pursuit of that. Like most content creators commenting here, I have to agree, weekly videos are extremely constraining and the projects rarely turn out clever or unique.
Kind of unrelated to this topic, but I’d be very curious to hear your thoughts on the rises of mid video ads. Seems like 2018 was the year where 2-3 ad breaks in a 10 minute video became a thing.
I think those only got introduced a while ago. Video needs to be 10 minutes long to qualify. I have put some in in some videos, but just one. But a lot of people like to load up the ads as much as possible.
I knew YOU had the weekly schedule - dont know when others publish either - and it was deeply satisfying to watch your videos Friday in the evening or after work 😍 So my week is off now 😉
I am happy with all of your project videos. I don't count if the week already passed or not. Some projects just take longer to put together. 1 video a week about the kind of projects you make is quite a lot of work
I feel you. Now that I am making my own channel, I learned how hard it is to produce weekly videos, on the other hand - I was one of those that knew what your schedule is and was waiting for it and from times even planning "watching the new video from matthias" in my evening of friday (was it friday?)
Steve was community-sourced a new table saw; Matthias' family grew; we continue to see Frank's home evolve; John cussed out both his viewers AND a water heater. I watched Kevin sit by a stream three times. We continue to watch because you take the time and effort to produce content that we enjoy, regardless of how frequently and often, regardless of the content. Though I would hate to see John forced to get back to hanging doors in elementary schools, you gotta do what's best. RUclips doesn't care when your electric bill is due. Now then, where the hell is the pancake/syrup collaboration?!
We feel that the RUclips algorithm rewards creators who publish weekly by boosting their content in the suggested videos. We are very curious, have you seen a decline in views or subscribers since you stopped posting weekly?
the only channel i looked forward to the weekly videos was steve ramsey/wwmm because i liked watching him build the projects and learn about woodworking even if i wasnt going to do the project
I tend to like regular content, probably because I'm from the TV generation or something, but I really care about the content itself so if it's not that regular, I wait, no big deal. Regular content just feels like the right thing since for most of us the daily routines are repetitive and organized, knowing that I will have some new videos to watch on a particular day of the week just makes senses to me. But I agree and prefer quality over quantity.
You keep doing your job how you see fit. If you make videos I like, I'll keep watching. You don't owe me anything. I'm very appreciative of your efforts. BTW, you've been doing a good job.
Hallo Matthias. Real life goes first. Ps. Mit deinen Plänen kann man echt was anfangen. Grüße von drüben :)
Genau. But the majority of Matthias's subs are American, they all think they're entitled to something sensational while not paying a dime. And YT seems to be going crazy itself, it's not Matthias or John.
I have been on the video per week since the get go. it can get hard at times but thats the goal and it helps me keep my motivation up. I spend very little time focusing on my analytics or on the algos but that is probably why I am not a viral sensation. lol.
I support just publishing a video when it’s done. As there is more and more great content on RUclips, I’m being more discerning of the channels I subscribe to in order to avoid the firehose of low quality content. By quality I am meaning a measure not only the information being presented but also the quality of the audio and video. I don’t want to watch a 5 minute video that should have been an hour and likewise don’t want to watch a hour long video that should have been 5 minutes. Take your time to make the kind of content you would be willing to watch in your free time. Keep up your great work!
Thanks. As a subscriber I would rather see occasional videos with good or interesting content (even if brief) than a mandatory video every Monday containing whatever content the producer can scrounge up. I subscribe to a lot of woodworking channels and you can see a clear trend among the "weekly" guys where their channel started out with "How to make your own kitchen cabinets" and over time fizzled out to "How to make this wooden ash tray". ;-)
The con about weekly videos is the use of ideas. And I agree on what u said. If you space videos out then less use of ideas and if something happens. You have a backup. I like your weekly videos but I understand the problems with doing so
I guess this refers to Peter Brown's last video. I agree, I basically fast forwarded through that one. I absolutely don't notice the schedule. I'm subscribed to 200+ channels and it really makes no difference to me when they post.
I think people use youtube differently. I can easily imagine some people make time and look forward to a video if they know a producer will have one out every Friday. AFAIK a regular schedule does improve your viewership numbers
you wouldn't think it impacts viewership... but it does. RUclips prefers regular and reliable uploaders and promotes regularity and oppositely sometimes doesn't even show the content of infrequent uploaders to their own subscribers. This is because it prefers to show videos that it thinks are more likely to engage the viewer into watching more and more often. If you upload regularly you are in line with the algorithm's main desired metrics, increased watch time and increased return visits to the site. If your uploading slows and you have a niche audience, they may frequent the site less. So if it identifies you as an infrequent uploader it might start slowing traffic down to your channel in lieu of another "more reliable" channel.
I agree. Different audiences probably respond differently to the regularity of videos being released. I suspect Matthias' audience (or Frank Howarth, or Diresta, or Clickspring or Hand Tool Rescue other "making stuff" type channels) have a more patient (and probably more mature) audience than, say, video gaming or skateboarding or pop culture vlogging.
Although, the streaming services are making erratic and binge watching more and more an option that the learning algorithms will increasingly accommodate to - leaving the regular uploaders to that audience that require certain medications to remain on schedule.
The RUclips corporation requires regular weekly or more uploads for a successful ad revenue optimised channel! I remember I subscribed to this channel because it was a joint collaboration of projects between those two woodworkers, not just Wandel talking meta haha.
I am in the same boat about "weekly" videos: I hardly notice unless something is mentioned. I have a large number of subscriptions and just watch whatever happens to interest me from the recent feed. From my perspective, I would rather people make higher quality videos less frequently than shove out weak videos to meet some schedule.
Seeing as one of the channels I follows might publish a video every couple of months, at least 3 million views on every video and 9 million subscribers, I'd say Primitive Technology does a good job demonstrating that high quality videos are better than frequent videos. There are plenty of example of channels that post regularly with view rates all over the place, I don't actually subscribe to many of them anymore, when there stopped being real content in their content I was no long content with watching their videos.
The only one it might matter to is the algorithm, it might look at weekly videos as being more engaging and long periods without videos as "why continue marketing this guy if he isn't going to make more videos for us". Unfortunately, you always have to ask: What would RUclips want......
Look, as an almost complete 'consumer' of videos... I just appreciate what you guys do. Even if I disagree most intensely sometimes (to be fair John's done that more often than Mathias). I even watch actual ads when they show up (youtube red is still not avilable in the UK, they seem to be pushing other stuff like channel memberships?) I'm subbed to channels that produce a video every 6 months. And haven't stormed off in disgust. I just look forward to the videos more. If my subscriptions don't produce enough content for me on a given day (I'm subbed to over 180 channels so that's often NOT an issue).. then I look at the suggestions. And sometimes stumble on something gold, and do a binge watch of the back catalogue. For those viewers who wave their adblocker like a small willy: Stop. RUclips ads are short compared to network tv. Or, wave it, and pitch in a cheap cup of coffee a month on patreon. For reference. This channel is interesting to me as a mere consumer mainly BECAUSE it's not about regular content. I like to see the creator's side. And thank you. ALL... I know many creators are here (first comments I saw were from messrs frank howarth and steve ramsey) Also, tho I prefer long, well edited videos (they are my GOD GIVEN RIGH...err sorry)... short impromptu, uploaded straight from your blackberry 'this is how i used wood to fix the lawnmower for 10 mins' videos are fun too :)
I think one has to be honest with oneself as to why you are publishing videos at all. If you're doing it for the income, then I guess it makes sense to have some sort of schedule. Some even name their videos after a day, e.g. "Wintergatan Wednesdays" (he's a fan of yours I believe). I post the odd thing now and then and I'm just in the middle of making my first series, but I do it for the fun of it and having people watch the videos is a bonus. I don't have the requisite number of subscribers to enable monetization, anyway. If it ever gets to that stage and money starts coming in, then I might change my attitude, but right now I can't see it happening. Anyway I digress. I think you;re right. Good content is what matters. Frequency is irrelevant. If anyone tells you any different, just tell them "Antikythera mechanism" :)
From a viewers perspective, I much prefer channels that publish as they have something ready, because the content is usually better. I always enjoyed the friday woodworking video wave, but there are so many copycats now that a lot of channels have either similar content to other channels or have similar projects/subjects each week. With a teaching channel like WWMM it made sense to have a video every week, but for more advanced makers it doesn't really. I rarely watch videos by professional youtubers anymore (besides a few originals from way back) and got more and more into the real craftsmen that just show their work. RUclips has been flooded with 'makers' and a lot seem to have picked the topic of conversation based on statistics and not on their background.
i understand completely, while i always enjoy your content and would love to see as much of it as i could, making videos is hard work, and if you "force" yourself to upload weekly their will be times (either times during the year, or times during your life) where you will be busier, and aside from hiring a professional editor, the only real choice you have is to drop your standards and make content faster. which none of us want you to do, and im sure you dont want to do. especially with your recent medical problems
People...Ring the bell and you get notifications! I subscribe to 150 channels but only allow notifications from about 20 of them (including you and several of the creators in the comments of this video.. Frank H, Steve Ramsey, Jeremy S, etc)
I definitely noticed that you were publishing weekly (when you were publishing weekly) and definitely noticed when you stopped. However, a lot of very good channels that I like do not publish on a regular schedule. Primitive Technology has 9 million subscribers and all his videos get millions of views. Sometimes he goes months without publishing. To me what is important is that the videos are worth watching. Pretty much always find your videos worth watching so far.
I watch your videos because they're good. Not because they show up on time. Quality gives your content longevity. I've unsubscribed from creators because they were wasting my time. And.. I remember when my kids were that age!
I could see a schedule if you are doing a live video or doing a news type video of things occurring during the week. But for the video style you tend to make I could care less if it’s weekly or whenever. If it looks interesting I watch it.
This has been my philosophy, I shoot for a video a week, but if it takes longer than that, the video goes up when it is done.
frank howarth true. That’s the way it should be otherwise it looks like content is being released without being ready.
When the great frank Howarth talks. I listen 👍👍👍

It takes approximately 15-20 showers to generate one good idea.
Simple solution: Generate a more complex idea and then make many videos about it. :P

I was just thinking about that. I do go ok RUclips on Wednesday evenings just to see his video.
You were a weekly fixture for me, I would get my lunch ready at work and watch your video every Friday at 12.30GMT
I used to look forward to the release every week, it builds up anticipation and I would regularly watch, now it is hit or miss if I watch your videos.
@@francsever i can relate to that
Try as I did, every week just hasn’t worked out for me either. As a fan of both the you and John it doesn’t matter when videos come out, I’m going to keep watching.
Doing things your way is why people watch in the first place. Good on you for keeping your priorities in order.
I almost exclusively use the subscriptions page, and the suggested videos on the actual videos. If I want to learn about something or see other stuff I search for it directly, not usually interested in whats trending....
I pretty much watch all your videos on my preconceived notion that all your videos are good. And I have yet too be disappointed!
6/8/2019 USA Grandpa Bill: I like your work, your mind, your ways. I'll always watch what you put up whenever you put it up.
Why doesn't John post here anymore?
I started publishing my videos every Friday morning at 6 am about 2 and a half years ago. I haven’t missed a Friday since I started. The intention was to draw the attention of the all knowing algorithmic eye to my channel (where I’m building a house from tree I cut and mill myself). I did not find that this made any difference to speak of as far as sub count and view count per video. It’s been slow but steady growth. But has taken years to get one video into the suggested side bar. I don’t think a content producer is rewarded as much any more as they once we’re for consistency like this.
I used to get disappointed when you missed a weekly video. Now I'm pleasantly surprised when one comes in.
@@scotttovey Will check those folks out! Have a good one. 👍
I do miss your Friday morning videos. Life goes on. Hope you are well.
I'm the same way, I have no idea how often people post their videos. When it shows up on my sub page I watch it.
I've been watching your videos for like 5 years now. I had no idea there was ever a schedule ...
Matthias, I use the subscription list method for my viewing, and as others have said, with my bountiful list I have to hope my stable of producers give themselves the odd break in their scheduling so that I have a hope of keeping up. Way too much good stuff coming from way too many good sources.
this was number one on the homepage for me. was about to jump over to the subscription page.
I hope your tendinitis is getting better. I miss seeing your projects.
I am glad to view what you and other people have to offer on whatever schedule you are comfortable with. If there is nothing to watch on RUclips right now, I have other interesting things to do, because I have a life. OK, a failed life, but I also have a house...that is falling apart. But I digress.
Thank you for the update. Great information.
I've got a lot to learn. I just found I could put my OWN links at the end of my own videos! Lol
We understand and appreciate whatever you can share!
i use the subscriptions page and consequentially only have a couple bells clicked
Don't stress! Just work at your own pace and publish videos when you feel ready, we enjoy them whenever they are delivered!
Same here with using the subscriptions page to keep up with everything, especially across devices like Apple TV where I watch most videos.
I knew YOU had the weekly schedule - dont know when others publish either - and it was deeply satisfying to watch your videos Friday in the evening or after work 😍 So my week is off now 😉
youtube needs to make the subscription page the home again. i think it used to be that way, subscription uploads first and foremost
I am happy with all of your project videos. I don't count if the week already passed or not. Some projects just take longer to put together. 1 video a week about the kind of projects you make is quite a lot of work
I agree. I use the subscription page and have no "timed expectations" when it comes to your chanel.
Keep up the good work.
I feel you. Now that I am making my own channel, I learned how hard it is to produce weekly videos,
on the other hand - I was one of those that knew what your schedule is and was waiting for it and from times even planning "watching the new video from matthias" in my evening of friday (was it friday?)
What about my 'friday morning Matthias' ?
the only channel i looked forward to the weekly videos was steve ramsey/wwmm because i liked watching him build the projects and learn about woodworking even if i wasnt going to do the project
Video is more important than good content, very common with many many youtubers.
I have been on the video per week since the get go. it can get hard at times but thats the goal and it helps me keep my motivation up.
I spend very little time focusing on my analytics or on the algos but that is probably why I am not a viral sensation. lol.
Just curious how are you getting along with the tendonitis problem
I like your weekly videos but I understand the problems with doing so
Ofcourse family and health comes first. But I used to look forward to your Friday uploads!!!
Eine gute Entscheidung! Oft ist weniger mehr. Und wenn man sich rar macht, wird man meist mehr geschätzt.
Liebe Grüße Rudi S.
Personally, I'd prefer quality over quantity, so take your time and release videos when you're ready. Keep up the great work!
I like everything I’ve seen you do
I love ur vids. thx
The only thing that is bothered about weekly publication is RUclips. It's algorithms are based on a channel having regular updates to get promoted.
Quality over quantity Everytime.
The froogle sim news is weekly and I always look forward to that....
I wish you made more videos!!!!!!! your my favorite RUclipsr!!! But I understand why you dont.
I even watch actual ads when they show up (youtube red is still not avilable in the UK, they seem to be pushing other stuff like channel memberships?)
I'm subbed to channels that produce a video every 6 months.
ALL... I know many creators are here (first comments I saw were from messrs frank howarth and steve ramsey)
Also, tho I prefer long, well edited videos (they are my GOD GIVEN RIGH...err sorry)... short impromptu, uploaded straight from your blackberry 'this is how i used wood to fix the lawnmower for 10 mins' videos are fun too :)
Don't you tell me not to watch non-project-videos for the projects. I'll be as silly as I please
I turn on the bell to get notifications.
I watch your videos because they're good. Not because they show up on time. Quality gives your content longevity. I've unsubscribed from creators because they were wasting my time. And.. I remember when my kids were that age!
Everyone needs a break.
I could see a schedule if you are doing a live video or doing a news type video of things occurring during the week. But for the video style you tend to make I could care less if it’s weekly or whenever. If it looks interesting I watch it.
