I’ve a lot of years in banking and finance lending including motor vehicle financing. Looks like a bit of a quirk - the list price has been discounted down to £12,479 to almost cover the anticipated depreciation after 24 months and I’m guessing it’s assuming it’s a new or newly registered bike. On all PCP agreements there will be requirements for a certain mileage and condition at the end of the agreement (2 years) to be met and an excess mileage charge made if you go over the limit and you’ll also be responsible for any repairs for anything not considered fair wear and tear. Check the definitions of fair wear and tear and keep these handy for when you hand it back. This agreement is also interest free which means the dealer or manufacturer has paid interest to the lender to provide this facility. I’d say this contract is exceptional value for the buyer and must be designed to shift some stock. I’m also guessing it will be withdrawn as soon as they’ve shifted the stock they want to shift and then it will be gone - so anyone interested should get in fast.
Finace isn't for me. I find it stressful. Limited mileage, they check for issues when you hand it back etc. and not actually owning the thing and using it, essentially, as a hire hike - if I were hiring I'd want flexibility...say a sport's tourer for weekends away, a retro for Sunday morning blasts, maybe even a maxi scooter for commutes (and because I've never tried one, lol). If I had limited funds I would shop accordingly or save up for the bike I wanted (as my son is now). We're all different though. Nice video, I enjoyed it all none the less and those Nortons look amazing.
Wow - if you did have £13500 to spend on one of these, and instead put the money into an ISA , you’d get more in interest than what you’re spending on hp. -Free bike !
That’s an incredible deal !! The £69 offer seams to be still on at a couple of dealers, would never have known. Limited to 2k miles per year so no big trips, but for a sunny Sunday or as a second bike this is perfect.
I spoke to the salesman down the new Plymouth Norton dealer last week 69 down and £69 a month for 2 years limit to 2000 miles a year not a problem I have 3 other bikes an old kettle and a z1 and a street triple rs I think I need to get down there and have a chat seems too good to be true but so far it all seems legit that £20 deal is an absolute gift 👍
Great deal I popped into Judd over Christmas and put a deposit down on a black one on the Christmas deal of £69 0% and £3500 off list Just waiting now on when I can collect it
Hi Matt, just found your channel, what an amazing deal on the Norton, I didn't know such deals existed , I used to run round on elderly Hondas many years ago, could only dream that bikes like this would be this cheap.
So just heard no more deals as of today, they sold hundreds I imagine. I just received mine, wow what a bike!! The sound and smell are like my old 1970's Hondas CB750. It's stunning.
Got the CR yesterday to pick up on 21st. They’ve pulled the deal now because they’ve shifted so so many. So glad I managed to bag one, this is once in a lifetime stuff for such an expensive bike.
2000 miles a year? So if you need a motorbike, this PCP is useless. It's just a scheme to make Norton sales look good and dump old stock, Norton will have to deal with the depreciation in 2 years when all these bikes are back in dealers, tbh seems like they're counting on inflation making 13k for a bike with 5k miles on it look like a good deal down the line.
Ford had a similar deal back in the 90s. I had a V6 Probe for 2 years for £99 per month and handed it back at the end. But the deposit was about a grand.
I wouldn't enjoy a bike much if i didn't own it. But getting the use of the Norton for 2 years for only £500 would be very appealing especially when i already own a bike
That’s almost giving them away. Fabulous for you but it must have implications for those who’ve already bought and are invested in them. Never ever seen such a thing in 30 odd years.
well, this popped up on my recommends as insomnia is messing with me at 4.30am and my jaw dropped at how little you are paying. interesting stuff...subbed.
Well done , that’s an awesome deal , I’m well jealous, however I do fear for manufacturers like Norton. The price of this bike has dropped and after riding it myself I wouldn’t touch it unless you are fortunate enough to enough to get a silly deal.
The 2000 miles per year limit will put many people off. You could rub a lot of that off on a single continental tour. As a Sunday pose it makes sense, but doesn't bode well for Norton residuals when a bunch of used bikes come on the market in a couple of years. Not sure if it smacks of desperation or cheap PCP is the future of motorcycle ownership?
This bike is a Sunday pose bike, not a long distance tourer. And yes, at the original RRP they won't sell as more people realise it's limited in it's uses.
Too tempting but in reality it is very restrictive. 2000 miles per year mileage limit is less than adequate to enjoy riding a bike like this, it would be sat in the garage most of the time while you ride something else ! The petrol would go stale in the tank while it was sitting there because I'd reach that limit in 10 rides, what would it do for the rest of the year ? Makes no sense, you are really just storing it for them with the option of riding it now and again and paying for the insurance on it !
Well done on getting this fantastic deal mate! But, They’re obviously doomed,,, sad but true. What part of that business model is remotely sustainable? Cracking looking bike too, such a shame…. Hey! I might be wrong, I have been once before.
Lovely bike, lovely engine, even if sometimes feels like two 350 bullets bolted together, gorgeous handling, best looking British bike ever. I had to sell mine as it was an early one with a lot of issues, lost a lot of money. Think you struck gold there.

I'd read the small print very carefully, especially on mileage and condition at end of the deal.

Congrats on not swearing when the people carrier pulled out of that lay-by.
Can you simply take it back at 1,990 miles in six months time and just walk away? That would be pretty epic.

Make sure you clean the bike with hot soapy wash and pay attention to the wheels after use because of the salt on the roads .
