So i did this install. When i connected the 2 channel line output converter to the sub line. The amp power isnt consistent it does big burst of power. When i connect it to the other 2 speakers the amp doesnt get enough power.
It adds bass for sure but I wouldn't say it's a huge difference over the factory sub. I think the problem is hooking it up through the factory head unit doesn't allow you to adjust the levels of the sub itself, if you turn the bass up it'll increase the bass through all speakers not only the aftermarket sub. I only installed it because I had it sitting around from my previous car. I wouldn't recommend going out and spending money on an aftermarket sub set up for this car unless you were planning on changing the head unit too so you can have more customization for audio tuning. I'm not even sure if you can change the head unit in Cadillacs
I think you should have wired the sub only 1 channel amp. You may over power factory rears. But, great info. I'm just going to cut the factory sub. And power my 1 channel amp into 2 12's kicker l7s's Also, Do you know if the 2016 is the same, as far as wiring amp location? Thanks for making this video very Good!! 👍
Yes 2016 should be exactly the same. And you're right the amp only wants 1 channel, I noticed it wasn't performing properly so what I did was got Y splitter, 1 female to 2 male, and am only running 1 RCA plug into the line input on the amp and it works fine now. The only issue I'm having now is the sub burps when I turn off the car or open then close the doors while the car is off etc because it turns the amp on. I might cut the factory sub too, I wanted to try to keep it but I think it'll sound better just running my premium sub
I got 2 12” T2 Power series Rockford fosgate and a Rockford fosgate 1000.1-BD amp and a second battery 🔋, man when I tell you this hits hard ! It really does ! The ported box helps so much I got the box built to specs space the speaker needs to perform its best! It hits harder after break period is over with
@@Daddylocz7 My rear diff blew out which is typical, got that fixed, had to replace the struts & an engine mount (the other mount also blew out previously and had to replace that) figured after all the fixing & maintenance it was in the best condition to sell at 55k miles. I'd buy another some day because they're fun af to drive and look cool, although I'd probably go for the CT6 3.6. For now winters up here suck so I got a RAV4 which is wayyy better for snow & rock salt on the road
You can find a REM by opening the fuse box under the steering wheel and using a fuse tap or buying a Loc with a rem wire that’s activated with sound
Tapping into the stock subwoofer is the easier way to get your audio into the subwoofer without cutting wires
So the LOC goes to the aftermarket amp or the factory speaker amp

Did you get this figured out ?
@@JeffLintenyou still need help?
That’s because the car has ANC and It sets off signals
I ordered a part that connect directly into the amp and basically cuts off the anc without snipping and keeping the amp as factory as possible

I been tryna find the remote wire for my Cadillac ats 2015 and couldn’t find it
You find it?
Will this work for my 2015 CTS?
Where could I get the rem from on a Cadillac ats 2016?
Rear cigarette lighter port is the only user accessible 12V power supply slaved to the ignition system
Did your red light come on on the converter cuz mine does not come on and I hooked it up exactly how you did
Yes the light should turn on. Did you figure out the issue?
How does it sound? Any difference?

Wish you could've demonstrated the test with a more bassy song
@@tr3ynag4ta it's not even worth the time and $$$ the stock sub is fine
So did you have to disable the noise cancelling system?
Yes you have to disable ANC (ambient noise control) or else the sub makes loud popping noises for 30 sec or so after starting the car
Where were you able to get the diagram and color codes for your vehicle ?
Yo you still need help?
I’ve installed a subwoofer successfully on my ats 2015 with a Bose system
I asked the installers at best buy
