I disliked it over something more trivial, I just really disliked how she said that manhood had changed from what it used to be as if there was some set definition, not only is that sentiment wrong, but it also fails to mention that the Modern term for manhood is actually more accurate than the one that existed in her day. If the goal in life is to reproduce and have as many successful children as possible, then the strategy of reproducing with as many women as possible is the most viable strategy for men. What this means is that the modern term is essentially men reclaiming the term, "manhood". I don't fancy the notion of manhood, since it dictates paternal neglect of children, and it's detrimental to the men in some ways. I had a fantasy while watching the judge talk to this young man, that in his place was my children's father that walked away and never looked back when my oldest was only 4 years old. Never contributed to their support, never bothered to come and see them. But instead I must trust that the Karma he created for himself is taking care of him. My children turned out just fine without him and I'm thankful for that. There are good Black men, husbands and fathers out there!

But sometimes when you are 18 without any positive male roll models a young woman can find herself caught up in getting involved with the "wrong" man and yes having children with him. I take full responsibility for the choices I made way back then but in all fairness I was naive and inexperienced with little to no guidance in these matters and the ways of the world. Marriage would have at least held him accountable by the law so that was a huge mistake! My daughter had the good sense to wait until she had experienced life and went to college and had her own life before she married and had children, so thank God she learned by my mistakes rather than repeating them. I can tell you when it started, mid 60's onward after President Lyndon Baines Johnson ushered in the welfare state. I worked in the child welfare system in the 80's and I saw this situation often. lol. I live in a third-world country and this is exactly what manhood over here is till now. But now for the last 3 years, there has been a gradual rise in feminism and I have seen with my own eyes how the definition of manhood changes with it. It hasn't changed here yet but it will change and it will change so bad that women would regret it like they always do and blame men like they always do. I can tell you when it started, mid 60's onward after President Lyndon Baines Johnson ushered in the welfare state. I worked in the child welfare system in the 80's and I saw this situation often. Young black boys are often mistreated/neglected in school so they often have a substandard education, too. The welfare state was entrenched in a segment of the population within a generation.

My wife, by the advice of her feminist mother who hates all men because her bad choices, left me off the birth certificate now I have to fight for the rights to my son. I even found out that my beloved wife was running my children through her mother's name and left me over $15,000 in the hole in taxes. She abandoned our son and our marriage. She tried to hit me for money under the table so she could commit Social Services fraud and live her party lifestyle. When I took her to court later, she took our son back and never let me talk to him again. Last I know, he was being abused by an ex-gang member drug addict with anger issues and no one will fucking help me. So think about that before you jump on the feminist bandwagon
