- No slow mo's or music, just you, me & the WPL C24-1, seeing what it's like taking on the same trails my 1/10 scale rigs do.
I was really impressed with how it did. Yes you can tell it's cheap, but for how cheap it did surprisingly well. One thing to note, it ran with no issues at all for this entire run, but it's not waterproof out of the box, so it did stop working after this run, but once it dried out it worked fine again.

I like it, it's got a nice scale looking body and it seems to get around ok, little bouncy but nothing a new set of tires and some modifications can't remedy, great purchase 👍👍👍👍
Thanks very much. Yeah I'd say its more stable than a stock scx24 Bronco, as that falls over like a drunk person on a night out, whereas this is much more stable. 👍
Hopefully this video shows what it's like out the box, which for $50 is pretty decent.
Upgrades are on there way, going to see how cheaply it can be made better and then do a comparison. 👍

@Senukthecodguy No, stock its not waterproof at all. I coated electronics in conformal coating. 👍

Thanks very much. Yeah I was surprised how well it did to be fair. Yes it's very bouncy, tyres aren't great and it's not actually waterproof, but it had a good go and survived the whole run. Stopped working back at the car, but dried it out and its back in action.

Do you prefer metal or plastic roof racks 🤔
Depends on the rig really. I've got a steel one on my D90, but don't mind plastic, especially on a lighter rig. Every one I've bought is metal. 👍

@@jacechristensen5451 Yeah, any extra weight up high is going to make it more top heavy. Especially if you add a hardbody into the mix too. 👍

Yes definitely, it's something I'll be doing soon, but too many projects on the go atm. 👍
Better shocks, better tyres and better electronics and it would be soooo much better imo. 👍

Does the motor overheat?
I haven't overheated it yet no, it would burn out if it overheated, as its brushed. I was surprised how much abuse it can take tbf. 👍
Did the switch, battery and motor need waterproofing?
Just the ESC/receiver I did. Battery and motor were fine. Probably be a good idea to do the switch too, but I didn't. 👍

@johnpaulpunla3357 I'm sure that would be a good idea, but I didn't. Tbh the electronics aren't great anyway, so I wasn't too bothered if they broke. 👍

Top speed?
Not very fast. I haven't tested it, but it's only a tiny little 180 size motor and a single speed. 👍

it isn't waterproof 😱
Nope 🤣 it survived the whole run though. Did stop working back at the car, but dried it out and its working again. I've coated the ESC in conformal coating now, so will try it again in water to see if it's waterproof now. 👍

@@DracRC You'll just have to carry a hair dryer around to dry it off.....or waterproof it I guess! 🤣
Most people change the ESC anyway and I don't mind if it does die, I like testing stuff to see what happens! 😬🤣
@@DoURC maybe the ESC will survive ages. Like my Bronco, everyone saying change this or this. I think it works pretty well so wjy change. If something will break ill change 😂
