I think the reason she has not blown up is because she feels authentic with her words and image if that makes sense. So much of the pop music out there just feels fake to me but it could be because something like 4 people write most of the songs that get played on the radio and I cannot see her letting other people write her lyrics and music. But, I love her stuff but I honestly am more of a goth kid most of the time. Her and Ren are really kicking my ass with all the great stuff they have released though to be sure.
I feel like her outfit is intenionally about the shadow it casts too - which is imposing, creepy, ghostly, Tim Burton, film Noir-like..… ‘karma’s coming back to you, and she’s in the shape of me’ 😊

Regardless, you're a reaction channel and you have to appeal to more than just Ren fans, so it's not like people don't get it. I just saw Chinchilla live in L.A. for her U.S. debut last month and she's every bit as good in person as these live videos show - phenomenal.
Ren pursued working with her, which says everything. Even if you don't react, go watch the official video of this song, it's different from this version, yet amazing in different ways. Considering your appreciation for the visuals and entire art production, you will love all her catalog. She puts herself into the art, like Ren, and she writes and produces, she's unapologetically herself; I've said to friends that humility is one of her superpowers. She has a flair for the esoteric and unexpected, again like Ren, and she will keep surprising you. Heck, she even made the hat she's wearing. :) -Thanks for the reaction. Incredible hey !!! This performance is utterly stunning . Her facial gestures and mannerisms are incredibly provocative and compelling. God she’s beautiful in this video. Her voice is beyond great. The outfit near the beginning can be confused perhaps for just a fashion statement by many but by the time the story ends it’s clear that it represents a music box dancer (so she also says in an interview I recall hearing) It plays into the exaggerated movements that a figurine would have made .
