There are verses in the Quran where Allah Himself affirmd that where ever we are, He is we us (I'm paraphrasing).
Just apply the same understanding of the verse to he said and you will see that he actually said nothing wrong. Not everything is to be taken literally.
Even some wifes abuse husbands too..some wife insults , pressurise husbands if they dont have proper jobs. Mistakes can happen from both sides.
i think he meant that the husband and wive can argue and then pretend it never happened and resolve it on their own time without the need to be hurtful and say bad things like "i swear you're like my mother" and all the punishment can be avoided.
in essence you can argue and then pretend it never happened instead of hurting your spouse and do the 60 days punishment.

I am a non Muslim. Like anyone i am going through the hard time of my life. Made some big mistakes. These days there is no peace in my mind. I Regret many things. Suddenly i started watching these videos.I found every answer of my life in Allah. I am attracted towards Islam. As I am non Muslim can i get the mercy of Allah. Can I get the forgiveness from Allah for my sins.
Of course bro When a person takes their Shahada all their past sins are forgiven totally except that of which you own money to people pay them back Inshallah all your sins will be forgiven then but stay strong on the deen as The devil will try and bring you off the true path of Islam.I pray to ALLAH that he makes it easy for you to become a Muslim Inshallah.
Of course you can bro, in our religion when you convert to Islam all your past sins are forgiven. we just have to do our best to not commit the same sins again, and even if we do commit those same sins again, we are to sincerely repent to Allah alone. Rasulullah always listened and responded appropriately to every woman who questioned even confronted him for certain things without ever mentioning women should not be actively stating their arguments and also never mentioned that women should just be passive with whatever their husbands did to them. Why in our moslems society it seems to be portrayed otherwise? Umar bin Khattab was also known as a man who absolutely gave a full honor and respect to his wife since she was the one who gave birth and raised his kids as well as taking care of his daily needs. Then he never complained whenever his wife was being upset of something and instead he tried to understand how tired she was with her roles as a wife and a mother. Rasulullah always gave the example of doing chores by himself while he was also the provider. Why in our moslems society mostly pronounced that a wife's main job is just stay at home then do the rest of the chores? Until a lot of working women who actively contribute to our civilization are being insulted for not being stay home wives. While lots of them work not only for the sake of money, but helping other people as teachers, doctors, nurses, and many more. Should not we realize that active moslem women in society are absolutely needed for the well-being of ummah? We can't deny that there are many other women who work not for the best intention, but can we stop harassing the women who actively work and not being the full home stay wives and mothers? How do we blame feminism while the actual examples from Rasulullah SAW and shahabah are not being emphasized enough compares to the hard pressure that seems to be given to the female moslems? I believe that Allah SWT brought Rasulullah SAW to marry Khadijah RA to break the old social norm which pushed women to be passive in society. Allah SWT didn't give the role to Rasulullah SAW as the rich man who married a passive sweet girl because he had the money and he would like to have a candy-arm wife since he felt insecure of his masculinity if he was with a successful woman. NOT AT ALL!!! If Khadijah were still alive until the end of his life, he would never marry other women anymore. Never he felt insecure or threatened by Khadijah's success. I believe that Allah SWT wants to show to us that women are also the active contributors for the society in many ways and can be internally in family or directly to the society. I hope that Rasulullah SAW's and shahabah examples of how they treated women in general and their wives specifically will be more promoted so the world can see how Islam honors women.

Masha Allah. The Prohet (SAW) and His Caliphs are shining source of inspiration to us till date. Imagine Umar getting lectured and he was patient with her out of respect.
She did not really argue with The Messenger of Allah. She just express Her sadness To The Holy Messenger Of Allah (Darood) in an emotional manner. And she did not get upset At The Holy Messenger Of Allah (Salawat) at the moment when she was discussing her problems With Him (Salawat) , as explained in this video . Insted she was getting more and more upset at her husband thinking about what and why he(husband) told her .
it sounds to me like she was frustrated with the Prophet for not having an answer that didn't devastate her as she argued with him that he did not say divorce and clearly she wanted to keep her family intact. - it's better we say things we don't know and just stick to what Allah has allowed to be preserved.

@@OwnGrid I don't really understand what you mean brother, but we should try to understand people's emotion, situation, and "Emotional Intelligence". When we discuss our family problems with Someone we trust and respect (For Example, our Mentor, or Friend, or Another Family Member) in a emotional manner, we often be sad, shout,scream,cry etc. But we are not yelling or getting upset at The Person we are having the discussion with, but instead at the person who have caused us that pain. This is The Point what I have tried to explain. Hopefully you understand my brother.

@@OwnGrid Yes but the person who lost control over her emotion was a Nobel Woman who got unexpected behaviour from her Husband, and came to discuss her problems With The Holy Messenger of Allah (Salawat) and got emotional which caused her arguing (here I used the word 'yelling' before which was my mistake, I changed it into 'arguing' by editing this comment).

Marriage is strongly encouraged in Islam.，so much so that the prophet PBUH said it fulfils 1/2 your deen.
There us a hadith which says that he is not one of us if he doesnt get married. Applies to women equally.
Prophets got married and no one can be closer to Allah than them. So how u can justify that marriage will somehow stop u from getting close to your lord.
Only nuns do this. And that is a mistake as Allah expects you to get married. he created man and woman to live together via marriage.
without marriage you cannot be a mother or wife and all the rewards that these things bring

@@SultanOxford Yes, marriage is encouraged however it’s not mandatory. Not everyone wants to get married. I’d rather be alone for the rest of my life than be with one who God knows if he’ll treat me right. It’s not haram to be single and or even die single. Some of us even fear marriage, just the thought of it gives me anxiety.
Bibi Aisha used to argue with our beloved Prophet pbuh to a point where Allah sent verses regarding her and another wife of the Prophet. May Allah protect and bless our Prophet pbuh.

My wife and I got married 10 months ago but it took a couple years before getting there. A couple of days ago I found a text message in our computer that my wife sent to another man one year before we got married, telling him that she loves him and cares about him and doesn’t want to see him get hurt. My wife had never been married before and I fully trusted her and never expected to be met with a situation like this. We’ve argued many times and both got upset with each other but this text message she sent to another man really caught me off guard. But then she constantly tries to take charge when we’re talking or arguing and tells me to fear Allah. Just 2 days ago we were arguing and she said hurtful things and then told me to fear Allah. I went to apply for a job the next day and realized that she deleted my resume as if I don’t need that. But she’s the one insisting that I fear Allah. Our marriage is broken.
