Excellent job on a great start for Fallout 4! I'd only add there is a duffel bag with some items on the roof of the Blue house with the basement. It's accessible using the fallen tree.
Now this is the ultimate starter guide. Perfect tips. I always went 8-9 int and then rushed the int bobble head cuz I liked to maximize my XP but I was always impatient lmao. It's a marathon not a sprint 😢 but it's always been my go to for fallout games. Still I like this and I had nooooo idea about dogmeat fetching the cryo that's game breaking and I love it!!! 😂
Thanks. Intellect builds are really nice. It's worth the sprint to the library hehe and it's not too bad if you have fast travel. Yeah the cryo glitch is absolute bonkers lol
Alternative for using the Sentry: Easy early access to locations, powerful weapons: NE from Sanctuary at the Robotics Disposal eject sentry bot software, run with your pipboy, activate sentry then set defensive protocol to South Boston Checkpoint and follow. He goes to Tenpines Bluff, Cambridge (at Red Rocket Gas Station quickly grab sniper rifle from the roof), goes to Covenant, smacks through Boston... for me it disappeared near Diamond City at the bridge just after the Polymer Labs (easy mission inside lszer giving superb Power Armour chest piece). You can just walk in from that bridge to DC. Covenant has easy mission later too to missing caravan near with combat rifle. If you ever make it SE from Diamond City at the S B Military Checkpoint there's a sniper gun on the roof and a power armour (hack rank2 needed). If the Sentry is there self destuct, plan B Kill it just before he disappears at the bridge with boat leading to Diamond City (had 30% hp but don't need to combat kill it, just self destruct him)
The problem with this sentry bot is that it overheats, and when it does it stops shooting a bit while it cools down. When he does this during combat you're gonna end up picking up all his aggro. Not something I'd recommend doing early in the game. Also, whatever it kills won't give you xp. This sentry bots is also very slow with its pathing. I personally dont have the patience to follow it lol.l I think it's a nice gimmick for funcies and have a big sentry bot companion in a sense :)
@@fallout4myth940 Tried it yesterday since just started to play again (TV series rules), it easily killed everything. You can shoot even a single 38 bullet into an enemy to get xp for sentry / companion kills, but this isn't the point. It cleared the way to Tenpines Bluff (Alpha dogs and raiders after it), cleared a path in Cambridge (ghouls), i got to the Police Stattion and to the Red Rocket gas Station there, now got a nice modded hunting rifle from the gas station roof, it rammed through bridges, following him now i can fast travel if wish to to Covenant (more easy quests, more weapons, traders), to polymer labs (fantastic PA chest piece), and i also walked into Diamond City. IThe sentry survived all (very hard mode), i took no damage, i was still level 2 when reached Diamond City, harvested some crops inside, returned to Cambridge police station where the paladin killed all, looted the place, and also unlocked the Diner place with Trudy. Not saying this is the optimal way, but good to have a good scoped weapon for Corvega, have some traders to sell unwanted loot, etc. This is just a fun option, and a combat gun and a Power Armor with strong chest piece helps with USAF Olivia and Corvega close quarter fights. 99% i don't use Power Armor nor fancy weapons early, unless times call for them. :) + Paladin's first quest is also can be done with low level. The fact i got Scrounger perks means i find lot and lot and lot of ammo in these easier quests/locations (museum, Polymer lab, Deep range transmitter thingy for Paladin, etc.) This gives a solid start and easy for locations with less loot, long roads, or where tons of enemy and lot of ammo needed (Corvega, USAF Olivia) early.
That's pretty impressive. Imma try this again some time. Like I said, I tried this some time ago and I got killed as soon as sentry bot over heated and stopped shooting. I think this definitely works in lower difficulties.
Her perk is fantastic for sure, and it's good to build affinity with her early on. The live & Love issue #8 in good neighbor increases xp by 5% when traveling with a companion, so pairing these two always as well!
Meh, in survival you get bonus exp from fights anyway. Plus all the crafting and settlement building you do, out of necessity mostly (vendors, doctors, BEDS, and of course food sources), generate more exp than the tiny bonus you get from Piper. Plus using dogmeat and lone wanderer is so essential for survival. But I agree, that some companion perks are good. Deacon, codsworth and Preston especially. And McCready for headshots 😁
While aquaboy seems like it would work really well in survival you have to worry about getting sick from being in the water. It's not so bad if you're just using it to cut thru parts of the map but staying in the water isn't advisable
@@fallout4myth940 hm well, it's a Bethesda game. They patch one thing and reintroduce old glitches alongside new ones 🤣 But seriously, who uses pipe weapons? In the vault you already get TWO 10mm pistols, with around 130 bullets. And that ammo isn't even a rare one. Around level 5 hunting rifles start being dropped, plus .308 ammo isn't that rare either. I never ever felt I HAD to fall back to pipe garbage weapons.
Lots of people use pipe pistols especially early in the game. The ammo is abundant and low lvl enemies die quickly. Depends on your play style and how good you are at shooting and not missing or wasting ammo
@@fallout4myth940 in fallout 4, I cannot stand pipe weapons. Low damage, tiny magazines, inaccurate, that reflex sight with the screws 😫 10mm does the job as well, only better. And the ammo is also abundant. But 13 damage compared to 18... 5 damage more, that's huge. I'm not saying everyone should play like I do, I'm only saying it's the more logical choice. As soon as you hit concord, you notice just how inferior pipe weapons are against the Raiders. The only pipe weapons I would use are legendary, either explosive or kneecapper, and then only if they're on the pipe pistol, as that's the only one you can make automatic. Then again, automatic weapons on survival.... Meh. One pistol and one rifle, and some explosives. That's all I need 😁 Esit: oh and I use mostly high luck, agility, perception characters. Vats is just superior with the appropriate build. Crits, Crits and more Crits 😉
I don't like pipe weapons either. Hence why I tend to go for the legendaries nice and early lol. Concord raiders aren't too bad even with pipe weapons. I agree simple equipment; one pistol one rifle and explosives will get you far. Those stats really do have strong perks for VATS. I'm personally not a fan of VATS I rather miss and run than use it :p

You can walk up the tree to the roof of the house with the cellar for some extra items in a duffel bag.

The first rank of aquaboy/girl makes you immune to rads as well while in water
You can set up a exercise equipment for a strength or agility
Yep it's a good temporary boost
Heyo!! Loved your work!! I keep getting the urge to play Fallout 4 again haha
Thanks! Fallout 4 should be getting an update, hopefully soonish which will make it even better to play!
Can I start a survival build before finishing my normal game and switch between them?
You can, but if you go from survival back to normal you cannot access survival mode anymore, unless you have pc commands or probably mods on console
@@fallout4myth940 thx. I wish this game had character saves like Diablo.
I mean you can make seperate game characters. I have like 10 different characters. All seperate from each other.

4:00 😮 Game changer exploit
I dont understand what your S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stats are supposed to be, you changed them like 3 times at the beginning of the video?
use wooden shelfs for xp not fences cuz fences are harder
100% agreed. The wooden shelf are far easier to put on and I completely forgot about them
Yeah that cryolator glitch was patched out AFAIK 🤔 it's not a good weapon anyway
I tried it last week before making this video. It still works :) beats using pipe weapons early in survival.
