Currently, the Effective Length Calculator is calculating the K (effective length factor) and L (unbraced length) according to the Effective Length Method described in the AISC 360-16 Appendix 7. Although the international codes (including the EuroCode and the IS800) have not been implemented yet, you may still find value in using this tool to calculate the L (unbraced lengths) for your steel members.

I have this error, it says I should have select section profiles and materials assigned to all members even I already did it.
Nice information
Effective length command is not shown in my version of staad pro connect update 6
Hi, why my staad pro doesnt show "Effective length command" in the design tab?
i ask the same
Why are you not using k values ? Why can't it be used?
STAAD pro version please
Very Informative... Thank you...
Madam, When are we going to see this effective length calculator design parameter wrt IS code (IS 800 2007)?

@@BentleyStructuralAnalysis Thank you for the reply...
What about Eurocode is this feature only for ASIC
No, I read yesterday a publication on LinkedIn from one of the Bently's Engineer saying that is only for AISC, for now...
