    Pre-tournament, but excellent puck movement and scoring power for Canada. Swiss may be playing a little possum, we'll see once the actual tournament starts. Go Canada.

    My lord that Swiss goalie does everything I hate about modern goalies he is on his knees steady and letting in the most stupid goals that is he just stood there the puck would literally hit him but nope he has to go down giving the shot more opportunity to go in.
    Good to see Canada shooting a lot I wonder if they keep that up when shots are not easily going in like they are on this swiss cheese goalie.

      I am a coach of 20+ yrs college, highschool AAA travel, you name ity...and I ..complete agree...!!!!!! it drives me nuts..as soon as the puck crosses the blue line, goalies are taught to go automatically down..like here, yeah I ll make it easy for you and open 50% of the net.Especially in youth and Bantam age, where goalies are still short

      Bingo, I've been saying this for years. Having grown up with, what I call proper style goaltending, it's bizarre to see how this butterfly style took over. You stand up until the first shot is taken, then do what you have to, but try to get back up asap. They're literally letting in more up top than they they ever thought they'd improve on by trying to cover the bottom of the net. It shows no confidence. What ever happened to the kick save?

    What I have seen in the past is Canada plays too hard in these prelims.The coach should be playing the guys who will get the least amount of ice time and not burning his best players out in a game that means nothing.ALL of these players are already in shape and ready to go it's not like they are coming off the summer rusty however I expect more dumb coaching just like I see in the NHL.

      Not to be overly critical of your opinion, but if you knew anything about playing and coaching hockey, you’d understand why your comment is ridiculous. The whole point of pre-competition games is to develop the team, and more specifically, the lines and defense pairings. These players come from different teams in different regions, and they need to learn how to play together. You can’t just throw players from all over on the ice and expect them to gel. The difference between two otherwise equally matched teams is that the one who plays best as a team will win.

    • @julienbeaudry-tardif7982
      @julienbeaudry-tardif7982 6 дней назад

      @@profdave2861 lol, I could say the exact same thing about your comment. You think you know better than these coaches it's hilarious. The whole point of the prelims is to develop chemistry and be ready for the real games. This is a very shot tournament and not much room for errors. That's exactly what they are doing. They were also playing against the swiss so it was going to be a blowout

    • @profdave2861
      @profdave2861 6 дней назад +1

      @@julienbeaudry-tardif7982 I didn’t use the word “chemistry”, but that was exactly what I was referring to in bringing the players together to learn to play with each other. That develops over playing time and the coaches work the players around to see what works best with that “chemistry”

      This is a 10 game tournament assuming you make it to the final. Very short tournament, every game counts to see where you team excels and lacks.
