The analogy that when you give a notice of resignation from a job to take effect on a future date, your signature takes effect from that future date is not always true. If you are in a managerial position, your job is terminated immediate you tender your resignation and you are asked to clear your desk and escorted out of the premises. You are however, paid up in absentia up to the date of resignation. By the way, what does the NPP constitution say about members who decide to go independent? If we decide to bend the truth, we will continue to have institutions that cannot be relied upon, and who knows what can happen to our democracy?
1.What is the actual and proper interpretation of article 97 (g) ? 2.What does the NPPs constitution say? 3.Is the Supreme Court of Ghana more powerful than all the other arms of government. Simple questions for our lawyers to answer.
What is this old man taking us for. Should the parliamentariens sit down for the Supreme Court to come and declare the vacancy of the seats. What happened to their independence. The Speaker exercises his right to inform the house. Joy fm please know who to bring on
A vote for Bawumia is essentially a third term for Nana Addo, with the risk of continued corruption and mismanagement. John Mahama stands as the alternative, committed to resetting Ghana and steering it towards a better future.
These npp people take Ghanaians for fools. When the issue is against them the interpretation is different and when is favorable to them the interpretation is also different. They are criminals
When did it become a practice in Ghana that the judiciary decides which seats are vacated in parliament? We need to be consistent with the truth even if it is not in our favour.
The gentleman was wrong. When an employee turns in their notice of resignation the employer can decide to terminate the contract right there and there or choose to allow the employee to stay on the job for the time requested...
The SC is mandated to interpret the law not to interfere with parliament business. Where is the SC interpretation of article 97. All they did was to stay parliament proceedings without stating what the speaker did unconstitutionally
They are yet to be Independent MP-(s) but in this current section of Parliament- they still are Representatives of their Constituecies.- as at now they have not crossed Carpet. What about if a current Parliamentarian decides he wasn't going to contest again- What then '?Kyei Mensah Bonsu is not contesting again- so will Bagbin kick him out before his term of service as a Parliamentarian run out.?- Bagbin is being clueless and foolishly Tyrannical.
Really? A declaration of intent doesn't mean actions are taking? Wow such a statement from a lawyer in suit? mmmm ghana why then do we arrest people for words spoken?
What is this old man saying, then NAPO could still be in parliament per his assumption 😂 how is this even sensible... that high court reference is so dumb. It's only when there is a criminal or civil conviction against the MP... how NPP thinks we are stupid amazes me. Mad people calling the rest of us mad...😂
Kweku Paintsil or whatever your name is, you’re so diabolical. You don’t know jack and you’re not even objective on your submission. Bunch of hypocrites….
Please, this lawyer Penstil, interpretation and position is wrong, shallow and political lense. Read articles 97(1)(g) this has nothing to do with employment law
Please tell Amanda I want to marry her. She is beautiful and brilliant. She is better than that old man that is speaking like a propagandist for the corrupt SC.
The speaker never interpreted any law he only applied article 97 and nothing more

He is a senior lawyer from npp
great show...I love the brain work at display of law
The Supreme Court has not interpreted the law. The Supreme Court rather ordered parliament to suspend its own rules which is quite strange.
Lawyer Kwaku is intellectual dishonest he interpret the law with NPP lense Joy news is big please bring people who have knowledge with the law
An old man exhibiting shallowness at this level is very sad 😢.
Of course the SC's action invokes Article 122 which talks about the contempt of Parliament.
Joy news please bring people who are knowledgeable to have a constructive discussion your listeners are not dump
You allowed this man to deceive you with his terms of court
The SC is mandated to interpret the law not to interfere with parliament business. Where is the SC interpretation of article 97. All they did was to stay parliament proceedings without stating what the speaker did unconstitutionally
This go to court to go court is not helping we as Ghanaians
How did this man pass his law exam? 😳
What about if the Supreme Court made an intentional error?
We're beginning to lose sense and respect in the very people we perceive learned. Shameful defense
The panel is off beat. What does the constitution say? Refer to the constitution hand book for answers
Supreme court should have thought about it before making those political orders
Blame the constitution of Ghana for this mess
They are yet to be Independent MP-(s) but in this current section of Parliament- they still are Representatives of their Constituecies.- as at now they have not crossed Carpet. A declaration of intent doesn't mean actions are taking? Wow such a statement from a lawyer in suit? mmmm ghana why then do we arrest people for words spoken?
The intent of the members reflected on the notice of poll.
JSS social studies said there are 3 arms of govt and each of them work n operate independently. Seperation of Powers.
This man should not be a lawyer, Sampson don’t invite him to your show again , he is bias , the Clinton lady is more balance than him
Kwaku Paintsil is only defending his master. He is afraid to speak the truth because he may lose his stomach .
THE SUPREME COURT'S ACTION AMOUNTS TO CONTEMPT OF PARLIAMENT.
THERE'S NO CONFUSED IN PARLIAMENT
What is this old man saying, then NAPO could still be in parliament per his assumption 😂 how is this even sensible... that high court reference is so dumb. Please tell Amanda I want to marry her. She is beautiful and brilliant.
She is better than that old man that is speaking like a propagandist for the corrupt SC.
IF BAWUMIA CHANGES HIS MIND WOULD NPP KEEP HIM STILL AS THEIR FLAGBEARER?? 😂😂😂
Grey headedness is not wisdom oooo it even gets worst when you throw in bald headedness. High court of the republic of Ghana but not supreme court.
Paintsil is not sharp
Joyfm and multimedia this is what you must know, if this Nation falls apart you'll not have this thing you're doing you call journalism
The supreme court is not overstepping its boundaries. Its duty is to interpret the constitution and the parliament is to make laws.
Article 122 of the 1992 constitution talks about the contempt of Parliament and it is exactly what the SC has done.
The speaker applied the constitution and it interpreted itself so there was no need for any further interpretations from the Supreme Court.
So what is the interpretation the SC gives? Lecture me
Look at that man's demeanor. He is just a nation wrecker
