That's wonderful!! So cool to know that the origin of a great song is about a real person. Could she really dance like Bill said? I mean, the Watusi is hard to do! I don't know her but give her a hug from a fan!

@@reuireuiop0 Lupe (short for Guadalupe) is a very, very common name in Latin America, especially for Mexicans and Mexican-Americans. It’s still a hugely fun song, and the original Lupe Lu is right to be proud of it.

The highlight of seeing the Beatles in their first U.S. tour was seeing the Righteous Brothers open. Best part of the concert. I was 14. I'm going on 70 now and will never forget. I wasn't a big Beatle can past their first 3 or 4 hits.

This is a great video and Bill Medley sounds really down to earth despite his fame. I’m 40 now but have been a fan of this song as long as I can remember. I’m still looking for the very first pressing of this record that has the word “Moonglow” written in a semi circle surrounded by a moon and stars. It may have the been that they originally gave to the record stores and radio stations before it became nationally known. If anyone has a copy please let me know. Thank you.
