This anime is very simplistic (If you exclude the manga) but has amazing humour, fights and animation. One of the best animes to start off with in my opinion as its very easy to get into and the characters are VERY loveable

This show is classified as a comedy, but honestly, it's really deep in ways you wouldn't expect. Definitely recommend it
Edit : I'm not saying it's the deepest show ever lol. I guess I should have worded this differently. Saitama's character at the very least is definitely deep.

Its a great anime, but I wouldn't say its very deep compared to most other shows, yes ofc its slightly better written than Dragonball and FMAB but its still in that same ballpark at least for now. After having read the manga I did enjoy it quite a lot and the art is fantastic both in the manga and anime, though season 2 was vastly better in the manga as the anime rushed it BIG TIME

1 opening is one of the best openings i ever heard and it's so motivating
One Punch Man is a comedy first, action second. It currently has two seasons with the second one leaving the story in a cliffhanger. There's a lot of disappointment from the fanbase regarding the second season with animation quality and that strange way they chose to portray any and all metal, but it was still pretty epic in my book. I recommend you at least check out the first season and delve into the second later on if you feel like it.
Just like Vinland Saga, both the openings are great.
Yes, it's high energy but really humorous and light-hearted too. There is no other show I'd like to recommend you to watch once you catch up with your ongoing animé more than this (except for Demon Slayer, maybe). I hope you get to watch this soon enough.

The band that does the openings is JAM Project- they're responsible for some of the most hype openings in the medium!
This anime is extremely good at satirizing other action/shonen anime. Even people that don't love action anime tend to love this one. Many of my favorite animated fight scenes ever are from this show, the animation is INCREDIBLE. And in spite of all that it's mostly a comedy.

Without giving away too much:
This is primarily a comedy show, but has freaking epic action scenes too. It's set in a world with heroes and monsters, with the bald guy as our protagonist.
It's a lot of fun, the 1st season was a masterpiece, the 2nd season stepped down a level in the visuals, but even then it's worth watching because One Punch Man is just that good. The 3rd season was already announced, but there is no release date yet.
If you like comedy, I'd recommend this to you, as I'm sure you'd like the action scenes as well.
The show is about a man whose name is saitama and easily kill his enemies with a punch.
But the side characters/villians in this show are very good .
The singer is JAM Project, a group of legendary anime singer such as Hironobu Kageyama (dragon ball z), Hiroshi Kitadani (one piece), Masaaki Endo (yu-gi-oh 5ds), and many more

OMP Currently is 2 seasons with the 3rd season in production, done by the same creator as Mob 100 (this was kind of his joke side project), the basis of the anime is simple, heroes arrived in the world and now there is a hero society, and we watch the trials and struggles of our hero "Caped Baldy" Saitama, from entering the association to climbing the ranks. The tone of the show I think you'll get in within the first 5 min of the first episode.
Every buddy in the Story has his own fight style.
2 seasons. 12 eps each if i remember right. set in a hero based world. with monsters ect... and the title says it all. but there's always more under the surface.

This is one anime, you HAVE to react too. The humor is beautiful and the hidden subplots can get pretty deep. Satiamas character in general is rather deep.
its a comedy with some messages you see them from the bald guy point of view.. animations and fights are also so damn good . its a great experience

I like the style of talking while playing and not stopping the video, it's comfortable!
Just watch first episode of first season and you will understand everything about this anime.
one punch man is a trip. it's extremely entertaining, stupidly funny, and most of the side characters are just as compelling as the man himself. some of the fights are genuinely incredible, the best there are. but mostly it's a comedy, the 'slice of life of a superhero' type story. there are only two seasons of the anime so far, but the third is coming. it's also great as an introduction to anime, for people who maybe don't like them so much.
I will only say that you have to see the 2 seasons it has, it is a highly recommended anime even for those who do not watch anime, the fights are incredible and the comedy is good but above all the characters are the best including the protagonist.
The third season is in production, but it is not known when it will come out
A lot of anime only get one or two seasons and are meant as promotional material for the mangas or light novels they are based on.
Also I am once again recommending you to listen to the Blood Blockade Battlefront openings and endings. The first ending in particular is pretty catchy and got popular enough that a lot of parodies with other franchised were created by fans.
First season focuses on good fights and animation, second season focuses on great story and characters.

its really good comedic anime about a superhero without any major superpowers, he cant fly or anything he just has super strength, speed and durability and he defeats every villain with one punch and is bored because of it
You've GOT to react to OPM at some point! It's such a fun series and S1 has god-tier animation.
I think Anya and Saitama would get along well and that's all I have to say about this show.

Both ops are performed by the same band. They are called Jam project and the songs are The Hero and Seijaku no Apostle. BTW The kid that was in both OPs is i think 31 in the show. The anime is kind of a Gag Series.
One Punch Man is a great manga and the first season of the anime is amazing, I never saw the second season because the animation studio changed and I just never saw it but if it was faithful to the manga was also amazing. The series follows Saitama who as the show's title says can beat everything in only one punch and because nothing is a challenge anymore is now bored with life. The creator One does an amazing job of creating a series that is funny and light hearted and yet at the same time is serious and deep. It's very compelling and has countless moments that put you on the edge of your seat. The series seems simple at first but as it goes on gets unbelievable depth with more and more layers revealing itself as it goes on. It's both a top tier anime and manga.
One is also the creator of Mob Psycho 100 and is starting his first new series in 10 years Versus. Which seems like it'll be very interesting the premise is: "The demons led by the demon king and their 47 generals invaded and took over the world. And now for hundreds of years they've been oppressing humanity as slaves. In secret humanity has trained 47 heroes and with their training complete so begins humanities desperate struggle against the demons to win their freedom."
ED2 is amazing, especially considering it's sang by Saitama's VA himself!

Both OPs are done by J.A.M. Project, a Japanese Supergroup composed of five major singers that do anime/video game openings, each with a major solo career of their own.
The show is as funny and subversive as it is bad ass and epic
I love that the show isn't taking it self very serious and still has some serious topics like finding the meaning in what you do with your life and how there is not always black and white and of course the humor and characters
Honestly dude, you *gotta* watch One Punch Man. It's absolutely amazing, and the fights scenes are so masterfully animated, every little bit of movement has so much weight and impact. It's really lighthearted comedy/satire type of stuff but has some really deep notes in some places regarding the question of how strong is 'strong enough'.
I cannot recommend it enough. Season 2 was kinda iffy for me because the first one was soooooooo great.

The Japanese are masters of making openings that introduce us to what will happen, but without spoilers. For example, in the first Opening the images that you stopped first are the "Degrees of Danger" that the heroes must face. And the rest are allegories of the villains that we will see. And that's all I'll say.
In the second there is not so much symbolism because viewers have already seen the first season, but precisely the images are designed in such a way that one "must have seen" to understand.
The op1 when "3 2 1 kishou" is a saitama fight tiger level monster to God level being.
And op2 you can see saitama breaking alot of monster and reach to the universe / milky way

It's an anime about a guy who can kill anyone with a single punch, but always gets to the place he needs to be a bit too late
React to the 91 days opening and ending. The show itself is only 12 episodes, but it's this amazing revenge story set in 1920/1930s Chicago during prohibition. It's about gangsters and crime and it's just fantastic. If you watch it, please watch the dub as they do the regional accents/ Italian American accents

Only 2 seasons thus far. The manga is . . . Ok, this was initially published as a web comic(With pretty rough art), but during a Hiatus the creator One was contacted by a to manga artist who really loved the humor and story and offered to redraw it. That redraw is ongoing and is the main inspiration for the anime.
As far as the anime in general, Ok, spoiler below, but it's a spoiler for 3-4 minutes into the first episode,
The main character is so powerful that all his fights with devastating monsters end with him exploding them with a single punch, and he's crushingly disappointed by this lack of challenge.

The first season of OPM was animated by madhouse, and didn't have spoilers. The second one had spoilers, wasn't animated by madhouse, and had Garou. That last bit makes it questionable which is better.
One Punch Man is a super hero parody. The main character is bored and living life, because the story is basically: End story level powered hero starting... at the beginning starting town. Basically, take a level 100 character, and have them live life in a level 1 area. There's obviously more to it than that, but that sums up a good portion of it.
When it showed him reading a manga its probably Mob Psycho 100, the author's other work.

OPM is fantastic, it’s a comedy but I’d say some of the humour might not hit as well unless you’ve watched at least one or two shonen anime before.
Even if you haven’t it’s fantastic, hilarious and SO well done.

Season 1 is incredible. The final fight of the season is my favorite anime fight scene of all time. I've probably watched it close to 100 time

The answer is both.
Saitama is a superhero who defeats his opponents with one punch.
It is a satire and parody of the usual shonen (or battle comics, in general) where the protagonist has to become stronger and stronger to achieve his goal. The so-called "path of the hero".
The protagonist has already reached the end of that path, which is to be the strongest, so the villains are who have to strive to win.
It may seem boring with that description, but it's funny and it has much more background than it seems.
I will always recommend One Punch Man.
The thing is, he is the main protagonist but gets the least screentime😂

Just as a fun bit of information in the first opening when it shows the images of a Tiger, a Demon, a Dragon, and a God that is a direct representation of the 4 disaster threat levels that threaten humanity. Threat level Tiger is a threat to a large number of people this is anywhere in the thousands to tens of thousands; threat level Demon is a threat to a city and it's people meaning it can destroy a city and kill millions of people; threat level Dragon is a threat to multiple cities meaning destroying numerous cites and killing tens to hundreds of millions of people; and threat level God something that is a threat to all of humanity, the planet itself, and beyond. There is also a 5th disaster level Wolf but it's not a true disaster level it's basically just a designation for something that they have no information for but outside that it is a possible threat and is ostensibly below Tiger.
