Man I've seen multiple multiversus videos but none of them had made me want to play until this one. You made it look so fun.
It really is fun and worth picking up. It’s very free to play friendly. The moment you do *all of your first daily quests. You should have enough to perma unlock one of the fighters to play as.

The one thing I want to say about MultiVersus and it's balancing is that if your character has a throw, you have an advantage of anyone that doesn't. The arena is really small vertically, so characters like superman can just catch you mid fall and throw you out of the ring like as a joke.
Yup. A friend of mine, we'll call him Ben, is completely at odds with my maining Superman because of his grabs.
He does not have a problem with Iron Giant's grab nor his bolt shield nor his damage output.
Just Superman's grabs. Despite that Superman's entire kit is very simple, direct, and telegraphed.

@@funninoriginal6054 That's fair enough, but Superman's grabs don't move with the target as well as let you do -another- move while your target is grabbed. Plus, Supes can only grab twice in air before he's out of Special options, leaving him only with Dodges. Ironically, the non-flying Superman is a sitting duck if he wastes his Specials while Iron Giant can spam grab and has a terrible issue where he just DOESN'T DIE
@@bromtaegan4606 Sure he can "spam" grab but you make it seem like it isn't this slow move with crazy end lag if whiffed, and in game where everyone is cracked out fast. Superman can litterally guide his lingering grab towards or away from you making it safe if done correctly.
And Bolt shield is honestly one of the main things keeping him from being complete meme character. 90% of the cast can almost litterally stick to him like glue and just vortex him. He needs the shield and damage or he'd be trash.
iron giant is literally the heaviest character in the game. of course he wouldn't get flung off the map easily.
and superman is super strong he should be able to beat everyone easily, however the game doesn't work that way it's about balance not so much realism.
@@martind5845 bro weight plays a bigger part than just realism. and how weight works in the game has both balance and realism… so ?… tanks are heavier so they take longer to be thrown off the map. Velma or Arya will get thrown off the map before WW or Superman. Lighter characters do more damage but are easier to send flying. Heavier characters dont necessarily do AS much damage but make up for it by being heavier. Thats why their tanks.
Shaggy could solo everyone in the game if it was based off logic

@@supremekey My guy his height doesn't matter. I keep seeing you mention it like it actually matters.. He tanks a full smash at 120%, he barely leaves the ground when hitting him, He throws damage out like its water, his prio is crazy if you know how to play him.
@@warmanreaper the way I see it quite a few people seem totally broken due to it being a beta. As a Bugs Bunny player, I can sometimes fire off 3 missiles without any cooldown if I do it fast enough. I never mean to it just doesn’t work the first 2 times I do it and then suddenly 2 missiles are in the air and one of them is flying towards my opponent. The other 2 seem to come back down a minute or so later hitting them again. Most definitely not an intentional mechanic.
With time I think the iron giant will be let into tournaments. They just need to get their footing in this type of fighting genre.
@@warmanreaper I mean if you constantly hit him he is easily stun and you can stun him over and over cause even with know back he is big as shit and he say he is tall is because you can literally never miss him
God I remember the cannon ball being the most over powered move he had. Almost got 500 everytime by the end of the game

I’m pretty sure that’s what he does. As he doesn’t sit and list every combo/SM they have when he does these types of videos. Just the ones that are going to give max amount of damage that he can see.
It's amazing how he's such a powerhouse and two of his features don't even work.
He's not supposed to take knockback in rage mode, and his rage mode side normal doesn't even work. Big boi is cracked.

bro i love this game tbh but man playing some of these characters is so hard to do. I've never felt like I was bad at video games but when I play characters like Batman my brain just straight up fries itself and I feel like a trash kid who just button mashes. 6:55 This is how I felt playing Superman for like the first 5 matches just because it isn't very obvious like how his abilities work until you play with him a lot and realize oh I can do this and this and it's actually very effective. Most of the characters I played use their special down button to attack below you in air but on Superman it only hits the ground but if you use the normal attack and down you can attack downwards mid air. Good luck enjoyed the video.

I say some stuff can be changed about him, though its just super easy to dish out damage as him if the opponents dont really know what theyre doing, its more like if you dont allow breathing room for him, and just combo him to hell then he just can get stomped on
Exactly, he’s very slow and can dominate the map but not if the enemy team applies pressure. If he’s against a skilled Velma or any projectile character he won’t have time to make his shield nor keep it up for long.
We’re all forgetting this is only its beta phase too, it’ll make more sense when we get ranked and see gameplay from a game where both teams know the mechanics extensively

Iron giant is a combo food but in 2v2 nobody can combo so he is broken 2v2
Not if hes smart enough to collect armor like he should be
Characters without kill options struggle even if they can get him to 180 dmg. His weight is so heavy. Strongest thing arguably is his armor mechanic. If ypu are at 130 damage you are not safe. If he armors up and free punishes you with a grab it's a guaranteed kill confirm. He's pretty good if you play him right.

Did i just see a super armor command grab? Gonna play this game now.
There was a glitch with Iron giant that if your opponent was on a paltform and you cannonball them as you go through the platform, the rollback netcode (if probably bad enough) would rewind you an inch above the platform as you damage them. Basically, you'd stunlock them to death. I'm not sure if it got patched but I believe it did.

In duos if both teammates go for the iron giant u have an easier chance to win his size is his greatest weakness which makes him easier to hit and get stuck in combos
Fun fact: Superman can chain iron giant into his side grab and carry him off the stage in like 2 hits. Very easy to do.

A team of two iron giants is horrifying, I hope I don’t face it
i was thinking the real problem with iron giant is that most of his attacks cannot be cancelled. i had to play tanks to get a mission done and i notice most of my attacks being cancelled by the most stupid of enemy attacks.
-Charging up+Y button on controller with superman gets cancelled by finn throwing me a crystal to the face.
-wonder woman shield to the front also being cancelled by anything.
-Iron giant getting everything thrown at him and he keeps on with his attack , specially the annoying falling attack. I remember using the steven shield on top of me and making him fall on it but that could not stop him.
