    I am married to a jewish moroccan and i am half moroccan half indian, i really thought his family wouldn’t accept me but they are so wonderful!! I am so happy to learn about the culture and to share 🎉

    I was born in Casablanca in 1956 my parents immigrated to Canada 1962, this documentary about our history is a true gift to future generations, so happy I found this, very well done Charlie, it moved me to tears...merci mon frere, paix et sante a toi

    A part Cities , there are hundreds of known villages in all morocco, for example in the south there are mellahs like : Demnat, Agouim, Tekert, Taznakht, Tamaarouft, Zagmouzin, Sidi Baaissa o Sliman etc etc

    Shalom from Morocco is a blessed Sephardic country for Jesus descendants from Spanish Andalusians ، from where they were expelled & settled in various Moroccan towns & villages ، it is considered an important sacred pilgrimage destination ، there are so many Jewish mausoleums scattered all over Morocco

    Jews were in Morocco even before the Arabs. The Jews and Berbers are the oldest tribes of Morocco. Jews Arabs Berber ❤. I am Moroccan and I welcome our Jews to their home.

      @@gaelsernmas: You can't be Jewish by converting to a religion called Judaism. Jews are people with a shared ancestry, and being born to a Jewish mother defines one as Jewish. Other opinions are mere distractions.

    Please come back to Morocco. The jews of Morocco have alot of history and holy buildings. Its your duty. Its the history of your grandparents. The jewish population must grow in Morocco.

      @@syarifidayat In Israel there are 20% arab population with the same rights as jews and christians and druzes. Palestinians who live under Hamas and PA don't have Israeli rights because it's their own goverment...

    Please correct the name: It is Ifrane (Anti-Atlas) and not Oufrane. You can check the map. in Tamzight, (Ifrane) is the plural of (Ifri). it means caves. The road sign spells it well correctly. I am from there. Thanks

    This is interesting! My grandmother is from Tangier and is Sephardim. Are the graves shown from Tangier in Spanish or Ladino? I can't tell the difference yet. Thanks!

    In life we can't turn a blind eye to what exist in a heart of a person a belief on a light we can't turn away, I may not believe in god as I have never sight him me self but I do believe in the belief of ones heart his trust on one particular part of life and in this world even if a belief is lived by a child with no sensible age it is a belief and it exist and no one can turn a blind eye we are all human we may be characterized by religion but I believe humanity is what binds us. In my early life I have always loved the sound of the word hebrew and I don't know why but mine heart really accept the jews in my eyes the light is to guide every to a peace way and so it shall alll

    I do not think that some stories of killing jewish told in this film are real
    Throught the history Jewish are respected by other moroccan communities and protected by Moroccan laws and sultans, jewish lived in their Mellahs in every tribe in all regions of morocco and have their Moses laws

      During a long period of time it was true. Unfortunately, there were attacks in Oujda and Jerada. After the independance from France, Mohammed V gave non muslim limited rights and forbid jews to move out to Israel.
      That is when jews had to leave given the increasing discrimination.
      It was a shame because Morocco was had been a good place.

      They restored many historical buildings in Morocco. Not only synagoges. This was a plan of the king were he invested bilions into. Go look it up.

      @@AC-jv4ct I did go and look at it - many years ago, before the restoration of Jewish sites began in 2015. The guardian, who was a middle-aged Muslim at the time, told me it was built when he father lived in the village. If you know the history of Oufrane/Ifrane, you will know that houses and buildings in the region were constructed of adobe, as was everywhere in Morocco's past.
