During a long period of time it was true. Unfortunately, there were attacks in Oujda and Jerada. After the independance from France, Mohammed V gave non muslim limited rights and forbid jews to move out to Israel. That is when jews had to leave given the increasing discrimination. It was a shame because Morocco was had been a good place.
