Dagger aren’t illegal in California. Dangers have to be under 2” and fixed blade Daggers have to be open carried In it’s sheath. Don’t know why everyone thinks daggers are illegal in Cali.
Ill tell you why... because law is written in legalese which requires interpretation and analysis of case law to practically understand. Then you get people who don't live in a state, sometimes not even in the country, who want to write a "knife laws in all 50 states" guide. Then people read these and spread misinformation on forums and to their friends. I also don't know what you are talking about daggers under 2" being legal. The under 2" rule is for switchblades. Specifically carrying them in public, including the passenger area of your car. A dagger in CA is not what most people commonly think of as a dagger. Any knife, steak knife, folding knife, victorinox could be considered a dagger if the blade is out and you have it in your pocket. Hell, a screwdriver could be considered a dagger. This is because of the legal definition: "A dirk or dagger is a knife or other instrument with or without a handguard that is capable of ready use as a stabbing weapon that may inflict great bodily injury or death." However carrying them openly is fine. Law as far as I know makes no mention to double edged blades. Unfortunate reality is that at all levels law is about discretion and interpretation, so even if in 99% of jurisdictions this blade would be considered fine to pocket carry, if you were caught with it by the wrong cop who says "this is obviously a dagger, everyone knows what a dagger is" and he merely cites California Penal Code Section 21310 PC (concealed dirk or dagger) and arrests you, you'll be needing a lawyer. So my advice is to leave it at home where it almost certainly will never cause you to need a lawyer.
I think It’s due mainly to people hearing from other people on social media. The Law In m is pretty understandable when it comes to this subject. But I absolutely understand all the double talk when it comes to written laws.
Bought my first microtech last week. OD green ultratech. Awesome knife. I keep firing and retracting it. Too bad I can’t carry 😭 in Commifornia. Also, i need an awesome wife like yours. Subbed.
Zakary Win yee thats a given if someone got enough sense but some cops can start trippin and “check” on you even if you haven’t committed a crime then boom they see the otf and you’re screwed.
I love my LUDT but my guardian tactical in elmax is awesome. Made in my home state, flawless action, best of all it has Torx screws and I can sharpen it and take it apart and doesn’t void the warranty. Sorry Microtech.
Which CA legal knife would you prefer ? The Boker sub kalashnikov, boker vox kompact , kershaw launch 9, kershaw launch 4, kershaw launch 10, or kershaw launch 9
I live in Santa Rosa, Ca. We can carry anything auto (OTF/OTS) while under 2 inches or exactly 2 inches. We can NOT have any double-sided edges like that - we can have the hogue Ca legal and the sprint from pro tech... but that’s about it. And the kershaw launch 9 is legal because it’s a spear point and not dual edged. Dual edged made it a darn felony for us to carry. We can own otf of any size at home as novelty or for home use. Blade hq won’t sell them to us but amazon will 😬. I have my first few dual edged blades that I can’t carry but I looooooove to fidget with.
Guys. Listen to those shows about California jails. You do NOT want to go there. Take it from OG BADGER. suspended license turned into 30 years! Leave the dagger in the store if your in California.
Wow that pretty cool. I just got the Spartan Aluminum money clip card holder.. Hope yall have a great weekend my friends and thanks for the great video.
Bird & Frankie if you want to know anything about knife laws in California then I suggest asking your friend from Southern California and fellow knife enthusiast Nick Shabazz.
This knife will still get taken away from you at the very least in California and sultry the worst it’s a charge. Penal Code 21310 PC makes it a crime in California to carry a concealed dirk or dagger. A dirk or dagger is defined as a knife or other instrument, with or without a handguard, capable of ready use as a stabbing weapon, which may inflict great bodily injury or death.
I may be acting like the proverbial old lady, but I can see a lot of potential danger with this one. The edge of the blade and the finger can run very close.
Apparently daggers are illegal in California, and It’s also illegal to carry a knife that is longer than 3” in Los Angeles County. I’m glad I goggled that, because I live just south of L.A. in Orange County, and my purse carry in 3.5”. 😮
I was playing with this at my local Ace hardware store today lol and they had some boba fett edition microtechs in stock! 😱🥰 I loved the feel of the exocet so much I need to get one asap.

Great video as always. The reason it's 1.9" is to make it legal in California. Auto's with blades less than 2" are legal in Cali.
But is it considered a dagger in CA because of the double edge, or is that just fixed blades.
@@kwood55981 it is a dagger, but still legal if the blade is less than 2" in length
KeV E Scott is 100% right and fixed blade daggers aren’t illegal as long as they are open carried in their sheath.
“It’s kinda stupid, not like stupid stupid stupid...only kinda stupid” is what I thought Frankie was gonna say lol

Whats also stupid is that in Cali a balisong is considered an auto knife
Nick Maccioli California is moronic when it comes to knife and gun laws. They don’t respect personal freedom there.

So they figured out a way for the bad guy to steal $300 from you even when you have no cash? Brilliant! Well played
I just got mine 2 weeks ago. It's a little bigger than I was anticipating

Claussen and Nathan's are the best store bought pickles. 🥒
Daggers are "two sided blades" and thus illegal in Massachusetts, but damn, everything is. The Emerson "wave" type knives are also hit under this law.
Really cool knife guys great video
thanks for watching!
Under 2" sharp blade of 204P could be very helpful in an emergency situation??? Just picked one up in CA!!!
I’ve watched a few other vids and yours sounds scratchier than others. Was it just the sound quality or does it still sound like that?
Dollar-dollar-dollar bills, y'all. 😂

What do you guys think about the new Boker Kalashnikov Auto blade shapes?
I like the modified at wardenclyffe as for the Harpoon and hawkbill. Meh
Honest Dave The wharncliffe one looks awesome! The hawkbill is just an afterthought in my opinion
Birdshot IV just wondering where do y'all sell your OTF's? Everytime I try to sell one on eBay it gets flagged.
usually in person at the knife shows.
@@BirdShotIV I gotcha

Knife safety, Blood spots, and Bandaids.

I need it to be "Mass-Legal" or one and one half inches of pure blade fury.
Ill wait till they have colors on these. It would prob be just a secondary carry since i rarely carry cash though. #freethenipples
Is it me or does the action seem a bit slow? I’ve never handled one in person but on video it seems like it to me.
Really cool knife 👍
